Order of Play question

My son put Giratina with Let Loose and Uxie with Set Up on his bench in the same turn.
Can he use both of the Poke powers or just the one he played last? Does the power have to be used at the exact time it is played?

Let Loose:
Once during your turn when you put Giratina from your hand to your bench, you may use this power...

Set Up:
Once During your turn, when you put Uxie from your hand to your bench you may draw cards until you have 7 in your hand.



...I think the more I think about the rules, the more confusing the game gets.

Each one has to be declared and used before you move on to doing something else, such as playing another Pokemon.
It's the "when you put" that is important.
