OREGON State Championships - March 10, 2012

Probably a little late to be asking this, but would anyone be able to recommend a shop in the Portland area that sells singles, and has a decent selection? Thanks!

You should still come and play. It will be a good experiance for you as you will get to see what type of decks are being played and you can choose to build one that you like. After a while you will start to play players at your skill level so you will enjoy the tourney for certain.

Guardian Games has some singles but they're usually pretty pricey and availability depends on what you're looking for...

Epic Gaming has recently started keeping up on their stock of playable cards and their singles selection is pretty good.

I think that Comic Collectibles also sells singles but I'm not 100% sure on that...

These will all probably have singles but Epic is probably your best bet for things you'd need for a competitive deck.

Come and hang out. Bring your starter deck or we can lend you one. You don't need to be a hardened veteran to enjoy yourself (in fact it might help more not to be).

Looks like we have final numbers for attendance:

JR - 74
SR - 112
MA - 175

Total - 361

We're in round 5 and so far it has been a GREAT day of Pokemon! Thanks to all the players and to the many parents and family members who helped their players get here.

Too bad it was a lot of fun. I went 4-4 with the regi Ex deck I thew together last week. It has promise so I will kepp at it. I got donked one game and Lost one where I went out to a 5-2 prize lead and could not get the final prize. (I had like 20 card in the deck and tw ojunk arms left and whiffed twice once with a Juniper and once with a pont to find one of them to win the game with a discarded catcher.

Sarah started out 4-1 and then lost and the got donked withouht even getting a turn in R7 to go 4-3 and 22nd place in her first toruney with Zekrom eeles. Penny went 5-3 and had the best finsih in the family. She did get paried vs two players from our league and went 1-1 vs them.

Oh and Regigiags EX is a verry underated card. It gives the dragons and mewtwo fits.

Had a blast- scored the DS raffle prize- (Team [R] takes the DS ALLWAYS! Neener!) 3 wins, 3 loss, 1 accidental "no show" in the card game, had one of the BEST DS battles today that I wish I didn't have to record over (no comment) so props go to my opponant on that battle so that put me with 4 wins out of 5 in the DS tourny --

all in all, one shweet day to go and just have a blast full of Pokie battles! (non-staff/volunteer day, kind of nice to kick it)

Thank's NW Staff for the hard work and all the efforts to put us players first in creating the best atmosphere in the USA for a game day so much fun! Props to all ya'll!

Now............................... North Cali needs to prepare for trouble, as Team [R] is headed down south to tread new turf and show what the DS is all about to be at full staff- Nor Cal Regionals April- BRING IT ON!!!!!!!!
 
any update on top cut know that in seniors top 2 is daniel m vs whoever wins in top 4 bodhi or jack in juniors top 2 is jack swagger vs hayden pyritz and whats the update on masters
