Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

OREGON State Championships - March 10, 2012

What a fantastic tournament we had yesterday. Thanks to the many players and parents who came to help make this such a fun day for everybody. Thanks as well to BDS, Mr. Raichu, and Momma June for putting together such an awesome team of staff and making this tournament the best it could be. I had fun doing my part and can't wait for the next big tournament.

Also, any info on winners?

Thanks to all those who put the event on and helped it run smoothly. Was the first time I ever had call a judge and it was handled smoothly and, in my opinion, very properly. All the staff was super friendly and I had a blast (even if I didn't do as well as I'd have hoped).

Thanks again!

Oh, I'm hurting!!! Not just because I was on my feet for 19 hours, but because Washington didn't take a single age division! Team Washington, what happened? We have stolen at least one first place trophy from Oregon in at least 8 years! Team Washington, you have got a lot of testing and practice to do in the next two weeks to keep Oregon from stealing our trophies in Seattle!

Don't you mean, "We HAVE stolen at least one first place trophy" until now!:thumb:

Now you have to rally all your forces to defend the Northern Oregon Territory in 2 weeks. Team Oregon will be coming up to plunder!!!

Seniors is INCORRECT. I'm not sure of the guy who won's name, but he was not Liam. He was playing Durant however. Also Ian came 4th, not Koichi.

Actual seniors results were:

Oregon Seniors:
1. Daniel M.- Durant
2. Bodhi T. - Zeel
3. Jack P. - Zeel
4. Ian W. - Zeel

Thanks to all the staff for their hard work. Congrats to all the players who top cut and to the finalists. Top Cutting with so many seniors is quite the accomplishment!!! Thanks again for the hospitality. See you all in Washington.

You can blame school for interfering. To be fair, WA came into OR states with only half of its strength. We'll see what happens in the next couple of weeks after finals are over.

I had a blast judging this tourney and everything went very smoothly. It's always an honor to be a member of such a great team :) Thanks, as always, to BDS, momma_june, and mr.raichu for putting on such an awesome event (we'd be lost without you guys!) and a special thanks to Breon, David and Nicole for being great head judges! See ya in Seattle :D

Whats this rumor about a player attempting to bribe another play during swiss and being reported, yet still making it to top cut Youd think they'd be DQ'd...

Taking a 1/16 shot that this was about Polo's game in round seven against me. If it was, we were just joking around. I'd never scoop on any bribe, and definitely not for five packs. Figured that I should clear the air there, since I've had a lot of people take my joking literally in the past. If it's not about us, then carry on.

Regardless, great tournament. I had a ton of fun and judging/community was great as always. I played so terribly in top four, of course that's the one match I play that gets recorded. T_T
