Now, with call energy, nearly anything can be an effective starter.
Farfetch'd SW could possibly be a cool way to kick the game off with a call energy.

T1-call energy attach and grab the basic of any line you're trying to set up (farfetch'd would probably be better in a quicker deck). swords dance.
T2-attach to your basic and evolve it. leek slap for 60.
T3-now your opponent can feel the pressure, you've got 2 energies on your bench with your T3 attachment and you can retreat the farfetch'd and there's already 60 damage to whatever your opponent started with.

sweet

Now, obviously, it won't set your bench up as well as the phione/pachi/rotom, but if my active is hit for 60 turn 2, i'm already going to be feeling like i'm behind in the game.
