Ok so i was looking at the new scans for the new set (well the ones that have been released) and i thought up a new deck idea. The sawk from the new set seemed like a great plasma donk that could do some serious damage to thundarus ex first turn (130 damage seems pretty good to me for only one energy of any kind) here is the deck list

Pokemon- 15

4 sawk
3-1-3 haxorus
2-2 leafeon

T/S/S- 35

4 juniper
3 N
3 skyla
1 iris

4 hypnotoxic laser
4 pokemon catcher
3 rare candy
2 switch
2 virvbank city gym
2 silver mirror
2 ultra ball
2 silver bangle
2 lv. ball
1 computer search

Energy- 10

6 fighting energy
4 blend energy wflm

-1 axew
-1 fraxure
-1 haxorus
-2 landorus ex
-1 iris
-1 rare candy

+2 eevee
+2 leafeon
+2 switch
+1 lv. ball

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pokemon- 15

4 sawk
4-2-3 haxorus
2 suicune

T/S/S- 35

If you want a plasma killer that is easier, Play Drifblim DRE/Drifblim PLB it wrecks it
However making a deck to counter one Archetype in specific is not advised.

Making a deck focusing on just one other type of deck. Never a good thing.

You're playing against the metagame..not just plasma.

Cobalion Ex also counters plasma, especially with a plasma badge.

Why do you want a Plasma Badge attached to Cobalion EX? I don't see the connection at all. Since Righteous Edge takes 1 Metal energy, and that's the main attack you will use early on.

The deck should just put in 1-2 Suicune with Safeguard, and attach a Silver Mirror.

I see thank you for your critiques that you have made on my deck. I kind of liked the idea of leafeon because with it I am able to 1shot keldeo EX, but it does have to evolve and has low HP, whereas suicune has protection from EX and a costly attack. I will try both of the ideas out and then edit the deck when I have found out what I want.

Use the new Tropius instead of Leafeon.

Energy press can OHKO Keldeo if the Keldeo has 4 energy on it. Not too bad.

I don't want to use tropius because it requires a leaf energy in order to attack whereas leafeon needs one of any energy to do the same amount of damage.

Leafeon also has a retreat cost. Energy Crush Manectric can destroy for 1 :lightning: and has NO retreat cost. Not that it helps you, but this Leafeon is just a crappy Manectric in my opinion. Only benefit is Plasma is in and Blastoise/Keldeo EX are super weak to grass.
If you can manage to get an Umbreon or two on your bench you can very easily avoid a 1HKO from a Keldeo EX with 4 energy attached, and then destroy the next turn.
I've seen a deck running Flareon, Leafeon, and Umbreon utilizing Ditto, Yamask, and Cofagrigus to evolve quickly; deal a fast 30 and knock of Cof, and hit harder with Flareon rather fast.
The Eevee's are rather viable and quick.

I PUT leafeon in there for an easy way to get rid of keldeo verients. The energy crush manectric does have some good points to it (like you explained), but what are people playing that is weak to electric and that isnt a plasma pokemon? And as far as the umbreon is concerned I cant use it. None of my pokemon are plasma and it would slow down the decks speed to put plasma badge in there.

That and leafeon doesnt require any specific energy type unlike manectric. So i would have a better chance of getting leafeon out onto the field charged up.

.

If you are running any of the Eevee-lutions they are all plasma, leafeon included.

If i took leafeon out of the deck none of the pokemon would get the benifets of umbreon except umbreon.

Try this skeleton for the deck:
Pokemon-11
4 Sawk
4-0-4 Haxorus
1-1 Leafeon

I/S/S-32
4 Professor Juniper
4 Skyla
3 N
2 Colress

3 Hypnotoxic Laser
4 Pokémon Catcher
4 Rare Candy
3 Ultra ball
2 Level Ball
1 Computer Search
2 Silver Bangle

Energy-10
4 Blend Energy WFLM
3 Metal Energy
3 Fighting Energy

Total: 53

Done some more testing of the deck and when i got leafeon out it dominated keldeo... but black kyurem always brushed it aside so this is the deck i am now going with:

Pokemon- 11

2 sawk
3-1-3 haxorus
2 suicune

T/S/S- 37

4 juniper
3 N
3 skyla
2 colress

4 hypnotoxic laser
4 pokemon catcher
4 switch
3 rare candy
2 ultra ball
2 virvbank city gym
2 silver bangle
1 silver mirror
1 lv. ball
1 super rod
1 computer search

Energy- 12

3 metal energy
3 fighting energy
2 dce
4 blend energy wflm

As one who's played a variety of stage 2 decks over numerous seasons and as one who is currently playing a Team Plasma (TP) deck, I offer the following comments/suggestions for your consideration:

  • When I play against any stage 2 deck, especially if the stage 2 Poké is the main attacker, I try to 1HKO the basic/stage 1 Poké early. I consider the "real" threat in this deck to be Haxorus; so, your Axew are prime Catcher targets early game. Hence, I'd suggest:
    • Maximizing the basic Poké count, and
    • Play a minimum of 3 Level Balls to ensure you can consistently bench multiple Akew at a time. By doing so, 1-2 Akew can be evolved into Haxorus on your next turn.
  • Your current list only has 8 basic Poké. From my experience (and some math analysis), I suspect you will mulligan several times across games (8-10). As a Team Plasma deck player, you are providing me some "extra benefits" by my drawing more cards at the beginning of the game. I will setup faster than you and will, more than likely, take prizes t1 (and/or t2). So, you may want to try to "slow down" your opponent by maximizing your N count in order to play one on your t1 and disrupt my hand containing those extra drawn cards. Or increase your basic Poké count to at least 10 to help reduce the times you mulligan.
  • Have you ever considered utilizing the Lucario (Dual Armor) instead of Sawk? This Lucario can 1HKO Kyurem (with a Ht Laser - asumming no extra benefit from taken prizes)? Chances are, I would start with a Kyurem (since I run 3 in my deck) instead of a Thundurus EX. My strategy early game would be to simply attack your Axew(s) and disregard your Sawk and Suicune. Only your Haxorus can respond with a revenge KO. But Lucario with its Ability provides you with another option to respond with revenge Kyurem KOs. Or (instead of Lucario) a Mr. Mime would also provide damage protection for your benched Poké.
  • Lastly, you may find more TP deck players running Tool Scrapper(s) in their decks. So, I'd suggest replacing your Silver Mirror with another Silver Bangle. You control when you play the Bangle and as a result, you WILL receive the extra damage output. On the other hand, a TP deck player controls WHICH of your Poké he/she decides to attack; so, one could easily maneuver "around" your Silver Mirror'ed Poké.
Given the above comments, following are some suggested changes:

-1 Professor Juniper
+1 N

-1 HtL
-1 Catcher
-1 Switch
-1 Silver Mirror
-1 VCG

+1 Axew
+2 Level Ball
+1 Silver Bangle
+1 Colress (more card draw support)

By the way, how effective is the Suicune? Since you have no energy attachment acceleration in your deck and Suicune requires at least 2 energy attachments, you might be better off replacing those with Sawk?

I hope you find these comments helpful.
