Platinum Tournament: VGC Rules- Round 2 Parings up!

uh just so u know i wont be able to battle until the 22nd. just throwing it out there in case everyone signs up beforehand
 
so a quick question. is this going to be auto lvl 50 or the no restrictions one to make sure no one hhas a pokemon over lvl 50?
 
It can't be auto 50, as some people may be using pokemon below lv. 50 intentionally, for strategic reasons. If this is to be exactly like the VGC, it can't be auto 50.
Also, come on people, join. I'm getting a bit impatient. e_e
 
Hmmm...I forgot about Lv.1s like Smeargle and I really don't know what to say.

How about this:

If you or your opponent has a Lv.1, get in contact, and if you can agree on something, play it that way. Notify me, and don't auto set higher than 50 if you do.
 
Here's a problem though. What if you and your opponent do auto lv 50 and your opponent uses a move that a pokemon only learns after lv 50? Who's going to know? Just a suggestion, make each player check on a site like Serebii when your pokemon learn certain moves, and if they only learn them past lv 50, they have to replace them with legal moves.
 
I know a few people can't do open, so it will be auto, but make sure to do what pika said.
 
thats kinda dumb, i mean not everyone has a great knowledge of poekemon and when they can learn their moves so it opens up for a people to use a lvl 51 pokemon to get some moves. open lvl is by far the best and most fair. it only takes 2 or 3 runs through the elite 4 to get them up to lvl 50, and allows for people to do that stupid lvl 1 tricks. if its going to be vgc rules it should be strict rules and not have exceptions

But that's the problem, more people have their pokemon over lv 50, not under. And, like I said, use the link to Serebii to check moves.
 
Personally, I don't mind either, as I can cope.

Strict VGC, we're going with Lv.50. K?
 
That's fine with me. Honestly, you people should be using Smeargle's with 0 Speed IV's and EV's. If you're doing Level 50, it'll still be the slowest.
