Player of the Year — Extinct?

Since "Player Rewards" are now terminated, somebody from TPCi should clarify whether or not "Player of the Year" is also terminated. On the surface it would seem so, since POTY was part of Player Rewards. But idle speculation leads to the theoretical possibility that POTY may still exist, but is simply not under the umbrella of Player Rewards.

I know someone who had been considering trying for POTY in 2013-14 (not me), and it would be nice to have prompt total clarity on the issue of whether POTY still exists or not.

I'm guessing then player of the year's were still a thing this year? Who ended up winning?

They'll announce it for this year when they're done with all the work doing their changes they're in the middle of right now.

To answer the OP, I'm gonna say that it was just an extension of Player Rewards and it will be cancelled for the upcoming year/season.
