I am interested in the CaKE. I was just wondering if someone had personal advice, tips on how to build, and match ups. Just tell me your opinion.

I am not really looking for links to articles because I have already read most of them.


Stategy
If you don't know what CaKE is you basically set up Electrode, Energymite for energies and attack with Kyreum and Cobalion. I added a Zekrom for type advantage. Research record is to be used before Energymite to get a lot of energies.

Here is my list (It has a lot of room for improvement):

My suggestions:
-2 Revive ( I believe it is outclassed by super rod)
-2 Potion ( dont see the purpose in it)
-2 Virizion ( better support pokemon then this )
-3 Dual Ball ( Wont be needing this with collector unless trainer lock is heavy in your area)
-1 Energy Retrieval ( Once again super rod takes the cake )
-1 Electrode ( I think two is enough)

+4 Junk Arm ( best trainer in game. Get back any of your other trainers)
+2 Sage ( Need more draw power)
+2 Twins ( You should be down in prizes almost every game early with electrode)
+1-2 Super Rod ( gets back energies and trainers)
+0-1 Cleffa ( Better support pokemon. Dont add if troll.dec is heavy in your area)
+0-1 Cobalion or Kyurem (Should probably have more than 2 of your main attacker. I suggest Kyurem since he is great at weakening things for cobalion)

Honestly I don't think that you need Virizion and Zekrom in there. Your Electrode line is pretty solid but you increase the Cobalion and Kyurem lines to 3. I run Cake and got first at cities with it. This is my list:

1 Shaymin
1 Terrakion

3 super rod
2 pokegear

I find that shaymin is good to move energy from a dying Kyurem or Cobalion to a nice healthy one and Terrakion is a good revenge attacker with good type advantage in the format.

Neonmandibuzz: I was wondering why you aren't running Twins and only running 3 research records.

Also(anyone who knows) could you tell me what matchups are strong and weak against CaKE.
