Pokémon And Nintendo Team Up To Combat Trading Card Piracy

I've also been having to take up fake cards lately at our league. Hopefully this will slow down the production of these.

people who premeditate to intentionally have the nerve to sell fakes have no pride for the themselves or the game (if they know how to play).

then there are the cases of the people who get the fakes and don't even know that they are fake;innocent vendors caught in a bad situation from a faulty supplier. they are out of the money of the initial investment in fake cards and if they don't know about counterfeits in pokemon then it really may be an honest mistake. however, once noticed your still in the hole and if you have a family to feed what choice do you have but to sell your product? i'd like to think i was honest enough in that situation to not try to pass the product along,at least for pokemon since i really love the game but say you have kids that go hungry tonight if you don't make a sale;there's a flip side to everything. for example me and a teammate were at a local street fair this past weekend and i we spotted a vendor selling fakes,i asked where he had gotten these 2011 worlds decks from and he simply said i do not know. honest mistake? doubtful but who knows. its just a sad situation deliberate or not and i'm glad to see POP doing something about it.

isnt there a thread that have fake card scans in the feature article called antomy of fake cards by pokepope, Rulemaster?

This is great news for pokemon players and fans alike. Its a real shame to see kids come to league with what they think are proper cards that theyre parents have spent good money on, only for them to find out they aren't.
Beat the fraudsters PUI!

Yeah, through a trade, I have acquired a fake Torterra Lv.X (Bad condition) and it looks really bad. The card is non-holo, no Lv.X silver border, and the print is not the same as a regular card. This is the first fake that I have seen in a very long time so I jumped on the chance to obtain a fake card. Obviously I won't play with it because it is fake but, it is just a card that sits in my box.

I am so glad it is about time they did this.
It is pretty bad telling a kid "you can't play that card it's fake".

Over here in Malaysia, it's impossible to like kill the market. Even the gas station and mini marts have fake pokemon cards. It's stupid and lame.

This is definately needed.. There are TONS of fakes on Ebay. I don't buy off of ther anymore unless they're power-sellers...
