Dang!! I thought they were on March 20th. I already planned on going to Mass. States on March 6th. (You know a little less hectic and more organized) :0

My son and I will miss the POKEMON CENTER VERY MUCH!!!
Every year I take my son back east visiting family and for years I always arranged to spend a day in NYC just to visit the POKEMON CENTER, in my pocket would be a list of items from the players at league with money they saved up to get exclusive Pokemon Center items. Easily spending hundreds of dollars at the store on these visits.
My last trip was during the Xmas holiday 2004, yes i actually went there on Saturday nite the weekend before Xmas!
It was packed! But I also noticed something about the items they had on their shelves...very disappointing compared to years past. My son had noticed it too without me saying a thing. Sure it was the Holiday season and most stores would have semi-bare shelves but this was THE POKEMON CENTER. They always had new stuff in years past, there was always workers running around restocking the shelves too. At the front door they had some of the new Pokemon action figures for Team Rocket (the only Team Rocket items in the store,everything else was FireRed Leafgreen). I did pick up a Pikachu Plushie for one of the players....they used to have a huge area upstairs dedicated to TONS of different plushies, but this was very thined out and not as many variations. This trip we spent $91.00 a bit shocking since we were prepared to spend the usual hundreds.
All in all, my son was just as thrilled to see the GIANT POKEMON in the window again...the flying ones on the ceiling. To see his face as he enters THE POKEMON CENTER STORE has always been priceless and something i will always remember. His dream is to visit the CENTERS in Japan. (gunna try to make that dream come true one day)
