Since its announcement, there has been a lot of confusion about how Pokémon Ranger will work and many of us were waiting for the official translation to figure it out. Now that I have seen the translation "Remove all effects of attacks on each player and his or her Pokémon." I think some official clarification is needed.
The wording of the card doesn't specifically address "existing" effects in the way the Japanese text does. So I can see players wanting to use this as a Hex Maniac type of deal and try to prevent effects of attacks happening in the turn the card is played or the following.
For example, one of the players in my league wonders if it would even be possible to avoid having to discard energies when attacking on the same turn that it is played.
I also wonder if this would cure status conditions from Pokémon.
I hope that a more clear explanation of how to use the card can be provided for judges to use as guide in future events. Thank you in advance!
