Pokebeach, what happened and why

I don't think you understand my position, Absoltrainer. ;)

@ DarkJake: The topic was deleted because it was a DONE ISSUE. Anything involving PokeBeach on this forum is PokeBeach's business, not the 'Gym's. I don't want this issue on my forum or anyone else's - it is over with. Holy Star acted like an immature teenager, deleted the forum without any previous indication, and that was that.

Check my join date, HS, I've been a member for about a year and a half. I signed up to view their deck garage forum, or whatever forum it is you need to sign in to see.

I never post because I don't want to be active on more than one forum, and PB came first.

I will continue to have fun living in my fantasy land - I created it, after all, and it is one that many people frequent daily as well. ;)

FYI Just because poeple visit it does not mean they like it.
Of course, that is a given. However, it does not affect me - I do what I do because I can, and want to, whether or not people like my work or not. They don't have to visit the site I pay to keep up, they don't have to pay me any thank-you's once in a while - yet I continue, and I enjoy doing it.

However, I don't think they need to delete my forum and then go complain about it on an unrelated forum. :p I don't enjoy that, nor do I appreciate it. :)

Uhhh I deleted the post to avoid further conflict......

k whatever

WPM I PMed you to prove to you that when team M went down I had to deal with more crap then you are dealing with. I would even tell you how i got over it, yet you refuse to respond,

HS, do a search for my posts. I don't see how I could have made a post almost a year ago if I signed up today.

I edited my previous post to say "about a year and a half" instead of "months" because at the time I wasn't sure just when it was I joined, and I gave a more detailed reason why I never post here. That's why it says "Clarification" as the edit reason.

I am not dealing with any "crap" other than the existence of this thread and the pointless arguing (your PM is irrelevant to this situation - I am not sad or crying or anything, and I know you are just trying to make me feel better, but I think you are misunderstanding the point of me posting in here, or I myself am not being clear). Of course, I know I am contributing to the arguments in this thread, but I won't allow people to say things about my site without me being able to defend it, which is why I choose to respond.

That's why I want this to be locked. ;)

Come on, if you hit A a lot when a PokeBall is about to close, it closes harder. Maybe if I keep hitting A on the keyboard after posting this... :p

EDIT: I don't get your sig.

What I don't get is how that applies to anything. EDIT: You're not even a member on my forums. o_O

All sides of this issue are just plain SAD.

Is slander, political lobying, and outright hatred what this 'childs game' has really turned to?

Disgusting.

And who asked PokePop to delete this thread after it had been created, for some of those very reasons? There would be no "slander, political lobying, and outright hatred" otherwise. Nothing productive came from any of this - it was pointless.

My two cents:

I agree with Holy Star saying, "...no, they eventually spread their wings and fly away!".
This is exactly what happened with me.

I used to be a active member of Pokebeach, back when I was starting to get into competitive play, I was like that for about 2 months.
Then I found the 'Gym, and migrated to here.
In doing so, I 'left' Pokebeach, but as a pokemon newbie, Pokebeach really helped me in learning the lingo and metagame stuff.

So imho, Pokebeach is great for newbies, when they learn and find out about all the important things about Pokemon, the 'fly away' to Pokegym.

I find it very unnecessary for HS to hack pokebeach. I don't see any real point, other then to act out and get attention.

JMHO.

yup yup. Pokebeach is awesome for that!

im just not a patient person lol- so it's hard for me to get along with people on beach

the part i find funny is that pokegym puts up with the immaturity of RIVAL SITE on their own board lolz

why should pokegym allow them to bring their dispute here...especially when they kind of "compete" for viewship of card scans, articles, and forums.

pokemon sure is serious business

you know what?

there is one forum which is much worse than pokebeach in terms of activity, management and the attittude of the mods is the LD forums - you know what.

:p

Mods - Recommend Locking This Please

WPM: My son and I love your site, especially the scans and the spoilers. Thank you.
I would offer the suggestion of not engaging in this thread. I'm not saying let it go or drop it, just take the high road.

People Bashing PokeBeach: It's a great place for kids, please refrain.

Guy who deleted forums: Dumb. Don't do it again.

Gym: Yes this an open forum. Please consider if this thread has crossed the line in defaming Pokebeach.

All: Today is 9/11 - Now that is something we should all be thinking about. Putting the Pokebeach issue in perspective for all to digest.

PokeDaddy

Locking now.
Point of the thread?
It was news.
The 'Gym allows discussion within boundries.
We don't have to like or agree with what is being discussed.

I believe in giving people enough rope to hang themselves.
Usually they do.
There are a couple of good lessons to learn from this thread.
None of them have anything to do with Beach's worth or value as a site.
