Pokegym Fantasy Football: Confirm Final Draft Date/Time

I think that Gencon and Worlds weekends are not good times, yet this coming weekend may be too early. Maybe the last weekend in August?

Howdy. Sorry I haven't responded sooner : our internet kicked the bucket about two weeks ago, and I've been on the phone with the ISP ever since trying to get a straight answer out of them. I haven't read this thread yet, and I'm not sure when I'll have internet again (I'm in a campus library right now), but it's good to see interest for a new season!

I say Bench size should be kept at 8.

What about changing the Receiving yards to 1 point for every 20-25 RecYds.
Same with Rushing Yds.

Thats about all I see. Rest looks good!

The points are already set to 1 point per 20 rushing/receiving yards.

And about the bench size: The roster currently has 19 spots (with 8 unique positions), with a bench at six, so it is impossible to keep backups for every position. Now that I think about it, 8 sounds good, so is that okay?

And thinking about that, another ugly issue comes back--the 2 QB/DST issue. While yes, everyone gets 2 DST's, only half the teams get backups/6 starting QB's in the free agent pool. The same goes for QB's (unless you want to start backups and hope for an injury), so this all but forces us to go to only 1 QB/DST. As a bonus, this allows us to add the 2 bench spots while keeping the number of draft rounds (25) the same as last year.

ARMondak: Are you implying that you can only draft on the weekend, as we were planning to draft on August 15/16 (Tuesday/Wednesday), which places us after all the first week preseason games.

Please make the draft no later than the 15th as I will be out of town ie worlds. the bench size of 8 seems fair.

Now that Dendrobatida has signed up, I've put the sign-up link back in my post.

We need draft date confirmation from the following people still:
ARMondak (confirmation from the question I asked)
MadHatter
SomethingElse
FlipsAreCool
Our final member

We also need to set an exact draft time (something more exact than afternoon).

Remember, if there is any chance at all you won't make the draft, set your pre-draft rankings here (unless you like the default rankings, which unfortunately have no defensive players in the top 200)

Im am available
until August 14th and not available after that until August 31st
I guess that means that we need to push the date back a day to August 14. Is everyone okay with that?

I'm gone the 12th-22nd on vacation, but if you were to do it possibly late in the day on one of those days, I could see if I could get a internet connection and draft

First, people who haven't okayed August 14th:

Poliwag92: Said anytime during the afternoon was okay, hasn't specifically referenced the 14th.
trukeffectv1 (ToysRUsKid?): Goes into work at 4pm, Okay for 2pm.
SomethingElse: Will predraft.
Dendrobatida: Having problems with internet, hopefully will get them resolved before the 14th. (Library?)

Second, we need an exact time for the draft. Many people said the afternoon was okay, but SomethingElse said would only be able to draft "late." This needs lots of clarification.

14th is a bit iffy for me. I was told I need to go in at work at 4pm for "inspections" to make sure everything is clean. 2pm should be good on the 14th however.
