Pokemon apps?

Are there any neat Pokemon apps that you've stumbled upon for your mobile devices?

I've found the app called Pokedroid for Android devices. It is a rather nice Pokedex app which has most everything you need to know about the Pokemon other than location. I love this app.

Another one I've seen for Android devices is an IV calculator. Not a bad thing to have on the go.

I was hoping to find a trading card checklist/cardlist so I could easily keep track of my entire collection. I would love that.

Are there any others that you know of?

I've got a friend who is working on a serebii-style pokedex that has movepool and base stats. I may attempt a card-dex as a serious project, but I would need to ensure that there is enough interest to make it worthwhile. It costs money to get apps on the market, and I want to ensure that I get a good enough return to make the coding worth my time. That is to say, the apps will most likely be free... but a new to be released feature on android will allow me to make money on free apps (but you guys will have to be subjected to annoying ads).

Honestly, I would love that. I prefer the rectangular ads on apps over paying a buck or two for it. The full screen ads I have to constantly click out of...not so much.

Hit me up sometime if you really are serious about this, because I've been considering it for a while and I'd be happy to lend whatever talent and time I can.

I'll see what I can do, Kayle. Obviously, I need enough support to be confident that it is worth my time. This will primarily be a summer project. I will probably be able to do this on my own, but I'll see if we can work together on this, Kayle.

You may want to first look into a licensing agreement since you'll be profiting off the ads. Profit isn't covered under fair usage.

I would assume to not be using scans (as that would def be copywrited), but I would think that text is alright... IDK... that is another problem with really working on it. I would guess that text is okay to work on (as long as I give full credit to the creators of the cards). If I were to be disallowed to do so, there are many other people on the android markets who would be need to have their stuff taken down.

I would assume that it goes without saying that I'll avoid anything illegal. I'll (obviously) double check the legal stuff before uploading anything. I've seen many apps similar to the one I am talking about (that do strike for a profit), so I would think that I am okay, but you never know. This would (I think) fall into the same category as other users who make a profit by doing services that involve images and text from Pokemon. For example, I know that J-Wittz makes money on his videos despite using images of cards in all of them. As long as I do not sell any imitations of Pokemon products or claim them off to be mine, I should be okay...

How does Dex work? Dex has ads but shows base stats, types, and sprites of all known Pokemon...
