Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Pokemon Bank and Poke Transporter!

I don't have an issue with the price, except that it shouldn't have one. I know that sounds ridiculous. I do not mind paying the rumored $5 (is this a solid, Nintendo-confirmed number?), and I probably will; Five dollars is nothing, even to a kid (so long as they're privileged enough to own a 3DS). My problems with the system are that:

1) I use quality, free cloud services already. So my paying for a pokemon-specific cloud service is akin to paying for an email account that only communicates with my family members: It has an extraneous cost, and limited functions.

2) It is an overly complicated process. A pokemon box style application that stays on the 3DS would have worked perfectly. One of the ways that the bank makes sense is if there is some other connection form, such as to a Wii U game in the future. Again, though, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate allows me to beam my game saves back and forth between the 3DS and Wii U via a third party app.

3) Bank feels premature. Other than the obvious solution of transporting my ds pokemon into x/y, I feel that the true benefits of bank will not be obvious until the end of the 3DS era.

So, yeah. I don't mind paying for bank. I will do so, with no complaints (it's too late, no?). I do kind of mind paying for a product that feels convoluted and anachronistic, however.

So- has it been fully confirmed that Transfer will be free, and Bank will be a fee?

Maybe you could go to a McDonalds, or Starbucks that has free Wifi and do it there?

Having Wi-Fi is really not the problem...

Well, you can get it for like a month free when it first releases, so me and my mother will probably get it then, transfer all the Pokemon we want to for my siblings, and then not pay when it goes un-free. Easy solve. I agree with vaporeon that its dumb to have to pay to transfer, though.

The Poke bank and Poke transfer will be free for a "trial period" which I heard was in the vicinity of one month. Also, I heard that it will cost every individual who chooses to use this service $5/year (see what I just did there guys!). So EVERYONE will be able to upload their b/w/2 pokes to x/y during this trial period free of charge and then cancel said services!

ENJOY!

Do we have an ETA on when this service will become available - or did I just skip over the release date info printed somewhere? I don't mind paying for the service I would just like to see it before I become bored with the game.
