Some of my players were told that they would get the holo energy cards by mid-December (not by me, I knew nothing about the shipments). That was before the order was delayed. Now, at league, some players have taken to the belief that these phantom energy cards in fact do not exist and it is some sort of trick. Honestly, I'm about to join them in that belief. POP could atleast e-mail the league players to explain the delay. My players know I don't know anything about the energy cards. Those cards better be impressive or else there's another line of complaining for me to try to explain.

i believe there is something on the op site that explains that theres a delay in player rewards.

Yeah, none of my players visit the OP site. They've no reason to. The only reason I visit the OP site is because I have the league work to do, and I don't even look at that part of the site regularly. I just happened to glance in that area and saw the thing about the player rewards. If POP wanted me to see an update pertaining to league activities, it should be posted in the POP forums in the league board. I visit that place about once a day for some reason unknown to me. When I tried telling one league player about the delay, he made a sarcastic remark about how they're not coming. More communication needed.
 
then its your own players darn fault. who's the one being snide right now? you are. why should POP have to repeat whats ALREADY been said?
 
How is it POP's fault that those players would rather believe a rumor started by who knows who over the info that is on their own site (which no one bothers to read)? :confused:

"snide" is a bit of a hyperbole. I am becoming sarcastic because I'm annoyed at being told nothing. When the players ask "why haven't the cards been shipped," I'm stuck with "it was delayed." Not even told why. I get to say "I don't know" so many times when a simple e-mail by POP, or even more of an explaination on the league forum, would not only answer the question but also give me the ability to disperse to whoever didn't get it. Instead, I stuck with "they said it was delayed. It should have been shipped this week. Other than that, I don't know."

POP should send e-mails, notify its LLs. Why should POP bother repeating themselves? Because then they look incompetant for not being able to communicate. I can defend them with "People have seen the energy cards and they apparently look very cool" but when kids get persistant a month later, then I start looking stupid for not knowing the answers, which is what realy bugs me. In retail, we're taught that you have to repeat a message twice atleast. The first time gets people's attention, but they don't hear you until the second time. They didn't even mention it on the POP forums.

As for the "rumor" about mid-december that date came from a reliable source (again, not though me because I'm not told anything). That date was given before the delay, so it was probably reliable at the time it was told. If the "rumor" was given at the same time that the delay announcement was posted on the OP website, then you would have a point, PokeMom, but it wasn't. This is POP failing to communicate, which is how rumors get spread.

It is impossible for Player Rewards to arrive mid-December. Unless it is a really late 3rd quarter shipment. 4th quarter, the first quarter to earn you holo Basic energy cards, would be shipped January. People can log into their My Pokémon Accounts and check the status of their orders. While logging in they can see the announcement. Thus rumor(s) would end.
 
This is like waiting for my next Nintendo Power.

I'm so glad I go to multiple leagues.
'Cept half of em are closing every time I look.
 
The status of my order was changed to "Shipped, Receive by 2/9/2007"

If it comes in within a few days, I'll post some scans...

EDIT:
My Order was changed back to "Processing" instead of "Shipped."

hmm....

Mine too has been changed to processing and to receive by 2/9, instead of in April. I won't complain about that. I'd much rather get them in early February than April.

A little off topic: does anyone know if there will be a Pokemon Fan with the Player Rewards?

I get a Pocket Monsters Fan every summer when I go to Japan.... oh, n/m you mean the magazine...

It'll be a lot easier to get my -10s interested in doing the challenge and *coughnaggingcough* ;) their parents to sign them up for My Pokemon now that I have a set of energy to show them...:)

I recieved my Energy. The pattern reminds me of the Frieza Saga pattern. (Frieza Saga is a set from the Dragonball Z CCG, for those who don't know what I am talking about.)
