Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

pokemon mokery

Well. if ask me it is the players who are very cool, even in moments they are gone for a month due to some very important work (such as kids joining basketball leagues doing community service), we are proud of them for they are pokemon players who are responsible, humble and kind. I myself as a teacher I always tell them, "If you value your education, then anything that you have in interest is great value to others."

There are many "underground" leagues here and they have done something to let them play even with troubles the game had here.

Oh my....I will have to continue some of my thoughts later. I have an enrollment to to take care of.... :D

I don't get teased about it... although where I live, playing Pokémon isn't exactly something one does, and as such pretty much nobody even knows I play, lol.

I dont even let my close friends at school know i play pokemon

they think i play magic, and yes i do, but i play pokemon a lot more (magic less and less lately)

Only one of my close friends knows. hes gonna get back into it in a few months so im fine with that :)

Considering I have Pokemon posters I recieved from Nintendo Power hanging on my wall, I'm not trying to hide it. My friends know that I like it. They don't care about it much, but they're mature enough to not make fun of me for it.

Yeah. I originally tried to hide it, but I'm proud ( I myself have posters in my room) of it and don't see point of hiding it anymore. They can make fun of me all they want, it's their problem, not mine, I like it.

Do you still remember the post about how we are different from TCG players? I could recall some very positive points about Pokemon players that some others don't have.

In our case, we never get teased that much because we give respect to other TCG players and they respect ours. Respect begets respect as they say. ;)

well,i'm 18 years old and my friends know i play.even my previous girlfriend knew i played.i think the more non chalant you are about,it the more people just accept it and the less they make fun of you.keep that in mind.

also,i remember playing in a tournyment when someone next to me got a phone call on his cell, and he starts saying ''hey baby...yea...oh,i'm playing pokemon right now...yes,pokemon.you gonna stop by?aight, later baby'' and his opponent is in histarics saying ''omg dude!!she yo' girlfriend?!macking in a poke-tourny!hahaha!!!''.

I'm a senior in HS, and a lot of people know i play. They think it's cool cuz they remember playing the game and having fun years ago.

I wear my Gym badges on my jacket, and last school year a group of 6 of us played every day at lunch.

Nice.

Well, one of my friends, when we were playing smash bros, asked if I had some sort of Pokémon fetish, after using Pikachu, Mewtwo, and Jiggypuff in consecutive games.

Apart from that, no, actually. Gotta love college. No one cares... :)

Well, I myself am homeschooled, so I only have those who are at church to tease me. They poke fun at me every so often but I dun care...one Sunday night after winning the City Champ I proudly wore my Medalion...got a few compliments...although, I have to keep it a secret that some of my friends play ^_~ unfortunately one of my friends stopped purely because he was embarressed about it...he dun tease me or anything about it though...in fact I bet he wishes he wasn't embarressed about it so he could play. XD If anyone ever asks what I do for fun I don't ever hesitate to say "I play Pokemon cards." I find it stupid to care too much about what others think.

people used to call me g*y(I have no clue if it's a bad word or not) at school but when I showed them, they didn't call me names anymore. I also every once and a while give them rare pokemon in their GBAs (Cyndiquill, treeko, etc.) and now they're not interested in it anymore :(

plying pokmeon ahs been something ive done for 5 years now. I like playing and iremmeber in crossgates mall when we used to all play at the elauge at game keeper whne some guys walk by and say
"ill trade you for this chrizard, hahaha" they thoght they were so funny and one guy looked like he wanted to attack but he held back. I hate it peopel tink making fun of the game but i ignore them and now know how funny it is to listen to because it dosent matter what they say,it only matters that i like the game and i know many people who do too.

I've played the whole six years it's been in business.
I either don't tell anybody or I hide it; 7th grade is the toughest time for a kid.
as soon as it got the least bit old, every one of my friends blew tens of dollars on lighter fluid and matches to burn the crap out of the cards.
I'm the only in this neighborhood who still plays it.
Just like a lot of people, my school is obsessed with magic (personally, I don't want to have anything to do with it.)
Oh, well.
The base - neo did become discontinued, so I'm grateful I didn't sell, or better yet burn, all of my cards.
Yet...

Don't worry, be happy! Don't worry...

I dunno...maybe I'm weird...peer pressure to me isn't too hard to handle...guess I became kinda self reliant when I was younger seeing how I wasn't exactly the most popular of kids...one just learns that its not that big of a deal what other people think of you...unfortunately seems too many kids care too much now a days. I suppose I've never been "normal" so I've never fit in and just delt with it XD Glad I was such a perceptive young bugger ^_~

*sticks hand up and waves it all about*

All the time! But it's all friendly, and I make sure to remind anyone that forgets I'm the resident Pokémon oddball. I have a gymbadge permanently affixed to my jacket (can't tell what they guys at work think when they see it in the locker room). I try to use as much Pokemon stuff when i play Magic as possible; plastic coins, gym badges as +1/+1 counters... I even used my semi-transparent Gengar inch-high figure as a Demon Token back when i played that deck. I made my brother's Ravager deck using Pokemon proxies for cards he didn't have (training for Nationals, y'see). BaseSet Parasect makes a great Ravager-a-like. Weedle is Skullclamp.

A lot of the other Magic guys play "kiddie" games casually too; Yu-Gi-Oh! and Duel Masters. A lot of the teasing comes from inter-game rivalry there.

I'm in my earlyish twenties, by the way.
