Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Pokemon Naranja: ANF- May discontinue...

Well, does one want to have a Cyndaquil or a Typhlosion when he's at
the E4? Even with that moveset.

Plus, it never evolved with "Brian".

David out.
i'd easily take a typlosion, cyndaquil's are cute, but i can already see some random gallade pwning you...ya...

Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

ash does beat the E4 with pikia
you might have forgotten that the producers on the show put pika on 'roids, then take him off it when the new season starts, waiting to get him juiced again, just like most MLB players today.

1. What Gallade?
2. Huh?

Never saw Ash make it to the E4. When did he?
David out.

i'm just saying, if you go to the E4 w/ a cyndaquil, something's going to pwn you... the second one...idk

ashinto: In this story, the second E4 has Ghost-types.
Xuii2-The-Cleric: Ok. Never heard/saw that.

And I've chosen Cyndaquil will evolve, but not now.
Here is Chapter 3!

Chapter 3:Catch of the Day: Route 233

Shandon and Cyndaquil walked through the grass.

"Shh!! Cyndaquil, look. A wild Gible. Do you think you can fight it?" Shandon pulled away some
grass so the small Pokemon could see. Cyndaquil stared at it.

"Cynda-" Cyndaquil nodded.

"Alright. You'll go over behind that hedge. When I say 'Go!', you use Flare Blitz on that Gible, and
I'll catch it. Ok?" Shandon asked Cyndaquil. But Cyndaquil was already at the hedge.

"Cyndaquil!" It chirped. Cyndaquil reared up on its hind legs.

"Alright... Go!" Shandon yelled as Cyndaquil jumped out of the bush, cloaked in an orange glow.
Gible turned around, surprised, then lunged at Cyndaquil. Both collided, but Cyndaquil charged
Gible straight into the ground. Dust spread everywhere, and a slashing sound was coming from
the hole.

"Cyndaquil?" Shandon walked over and peeked into the hole. Cyndaquil and Gible were clawing at
each other with Crush Claw and Slash. Gible suddenly stopped and started blocking Cyndaquil's
attacks with its arms. Its mouth start charging a blue ball of energy.

"Cyndaquil! Get back! It's using Dragon Rage!" Shandon called as Cyndaquil quickly leaped out
of the hole. They jumped behind a bush as a =Boom!= sounded. Shandon looked over the shrub.
Gible had created an enormous crater in the ground with just that attack.

"Cyndaquil, we're going long-distance!" Shandon knew there was no other choice.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Cyndaquil, Heat Wave!" Cyndaquil's kindling flames blazed violently as it let loose a searing
blaze of inferno. Gible flew backwards, a scar on its chest, into a boulder. Lots of trees caught
fire in the process. Shandon gasped.

"Gible! The trees are on fire! Use your Dragon Rage to blow out the flames! Please!" Shandon
jumped away from a falling tree. Gible slowly got up, then looked around. Bushes burned to
the ground. Trees fallen and scorched.

"Giiiiiiiiiiib-le!" Gible fired a giant ball of dragonic energy straight into the ground.

"Duck, everyone!" Shandon, Cyndaquil and Gible covered their heads as they lay low to the
ground. Wind scattered throughout the area, blowing out the flames.

"Yay, Gible!" Shandon cheered. "Gible, for your heroics, I won't catch you. Your free." Gible stared
at Shandon. Shandon walked away, Cyndaquil by his side, leaving Gible.

"Well, Cyndaquil, we-" Shandon looked down. Gible was clutched to Shandon's pants.

"Giiiiiible!" Gible squealed.

"Gible? You want to come with me?" Shandon asked.

Gible nodded.

"Cyndaquil?" Cyndaquil nodded.

"Alright, Gible. You're coming along!" Shandon reached into his pocket, anxious to catch the Gible.

"Giiiible!" Gible hugged Shandon's leg and smiled.

"Gible, return!" Shandon opened a ball. A red light glimmered around Gible.

"Gible! Gible!" Gible was enveloped and went into the PokeBall. Shandon hitched it to his belt and
kept walking.

"Well, Cyndaquil, we did a pretty good job. But the credit goes to... Gible." Shandon casually spoke
in his soft tone.

"-Quil!" Cyndaquil chirped happily.

for some reason, i'm thinking that the chapters are a bit short, but wut ever floats your boat.

Well, sometimes that happens. I personally make them
shorter than other's because I write more chapters. The
way I figure it, this might have more than 25 Chapters! :thumb:

Keep commenting. David out.

I liked the way how Shandon captured his Gible. You sure know how to write a good story. :thumb:

And now, presenting... Chapter 4!

Chapter 4:Graniford City: Tremors

Shandon stepped under a small gate, dark-brown in color, and had the words
:Graniford City: on it, etched in gold lettering. This was the site of the 1st
Rennto Gym, led by Martin. He was a Fighting-type trainer.

"Go, Gible!" Shandon threw a PokeBall out in front of him. Gible's shape appeared in a light.
The Land Shark Pokemon squealed happily, "Giiible!"

"Alright. Let's see what moves you've got." Shandon held the opened PokeBall up to Gible
and scanned it. The status screen read:

Gible LV. 25

Jolly Nature
No Held Item
Moves:
Dragon Rage
Slash
Iron Head
Outrage

"Gible, your great!" Shandon hugged Gible as it squealed, this time in a high-pitch, "Giiiiiiiiible!"
Shandon returned Gible back to its PokeBall. Cyndaquil smiled beside him. As they walked into
town, a rumbling sound shook the ground violently. Tyler was walking passed them and stopped.
He went back a few steps, then stopped again.

"Hey, Shandon ol' pal. Have you caught anything yet?" Tyler asked the momentarily shocked
Shandon. Cyndaquil gnabbed his leg, causing Shandon to come back to state of mind.

"Oh, Tyler. Yeah, I did! I've got a Gible!" Shandon held up the PokeBall. "You want to see?"

"Not right now. Though, I caught a Murkrow and Graveler, my Totodile evolved into Croconaw,
and I beat the Graniford City Gym Leader. He's really kind, despite his looks. But the main
reason I stopped by is to tell about an urgent matter. There's a Steelix on the loose in the
Graniford Mine. I'm kind of busy stalking a runaway Eevee at the moment, so, do you think you
could handle that Steelix for the townspeople? Thanks if you can. 'Bye." Tyler walked away to
northern entrance of Graniford City.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Wow. That's a big job. A Steelix loose in the mine? That's rather gigantic. But I know we can do it.
Right, Cyndaquil? Gible?" Shandon asked as Gible appeared out of its ball. They both nodded.

They walked over to the mine entrance and listened. "STEEEEEEEEEEELIX!" A huge roar echoed
throughout the walls. Shandon jumped back, Cyndaquil and Gible clutched in his arms.

"Alright. Now we know that rampant Steelix is in there. Stay calm, guys. Let's go." Shandon
calmed the nervous Pokemon down and all three stepped slowly down the shaft. The walls were
still tremoring from the previous roar, and the Steelix was bashing around in the far corner of the
mine, making the floor tremble as well. Soon they were at a rock, hiding behind it. Shandon saw
a faint shadow in the darkness, though he new it was the Steelix because of all the banging
sounds.

"I'm putting my spelunker cap on. Cyndaquil, you light your flame brightly." Cyndaquil nodded as
it turned up the heat.

"Cyndaquil, Flare Blitz!" Shandon called as Cyndaquil lit up in a cloak of misty orange. Steelix
turned around, and swung its tail at Cyndaquil. Cyndaquil met contact, but was wacked back at
Shandon, who caught it. Steelix's tail was dented.

"STEEEEEEEEEELIX!" Steelix roared and dove head first at Cyndaquil, who was standing on the
ground. Steelix's fangs lit up with electricity as it charged at Cyndaquil.

"Cyndaquil, Smokescreen! Then jump!" Cyndaquil fired a smoke bomb at Steelix and leaped high
over the Iron Snake's head, which was covered in soot. Steelix couldn't see, so it dug into the
ground, missing Cyndaquil, but it swung its tail as it went in, knocking Cyndaquil again back to
Shandon.

"Go, Gible! Use Dig and meet up with Steelix underground!" Gible tunneled down and burrowed in.
Soon Gible met Steelix head-to-head. Steelix roared, "STEEEEEEEELIX!" As its fangs froze
solid as ice. Gible grinned as it charged a Dragon Rage.

"Gible?" Shandon called, looking around. Suddenly, a white light shined out of the whole Gible had
dug. =BOOOOOOOM!= A Land Shark Pokemon leaped out of the hole, holding a fainted
Steelix behind it, but the Pokemon wasn't Gible.

"Gabite? You evolved! Congratulations!" Shandon hugged the newly evolved Gabite as
it roared. "Gaaabite!"

"Go, PokeBall!" Shandon threw a PokeBall at the fainted Steelix. =Bleep! Bleep! Bleep! Bleep...=
The ball remained still as stone on the cold floor.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Yay! I caught Steelix!!!" Shandon, Cyndaquil and Gabite dashed out of the mine, Shandon
holding a PokeBall with a yellow H shape on a black background.

A miner nearby heard Shandon and yelled, "The boy caught the Steelix! The boy caught the
Steelix!" Hundreds of townspeople cheered and lifted Shandon, Cyndaquil, and Gabite up in the
air.

"Hooray!" The townspeople partied the rest of that day until nightfall. The Gym Leader, Martin,
even closed the gym for the rest of the day to celebrate.

Shandon sat at a campfire and stared at the stars later that night. "Gabite, you're a hero once
again." Shandon held Steelix's Ultra Ball up to the moon.

"Gabite!" Gabite smiled.

Better bump it... whatever.

Please, can someone comment on chapter 4?
I've been waiting to know your thoughts about it.
I could think that the ending of the last chapter might be a
little childish, though it's being written by one.

Please comment. Again, I need your thoughts so I can
improve and make it better.

David out.

short, so...ya, that's a coment, i'd try to make them longer, and less pokemon anime, like, that just truns me off on the sroty more and more.

Could you name the ways it's like the anime? I tried
to base this off of a fictional Pokemon video game I have
blueprints for.

And yeah, how was this one short? Maybe compared to
other's Fan Fics, but this is the longest
chapter I've ever written.

Thanks for the feedback, anyways.

David out.

And now this post is being edited to have Chapter 5!

Chapter 5:Fists of Fury: Graniford Gym

"Aaaawwwhhh..." Shandon stretched out in the comfort of his sleeping bag. Shandon yawned at
Cyndaquil, who was sitting next to him. Cyndaquil rolled its eyes, waiting.

A few moments later, Shandon finally crawled out of the camoflauge-colored bag. He yawned once
more and went into the camp tent. 2 minutes passed and Cyndaquil waited, staring at Gabite, who
was just waking up and rubbing the dust from its eyes.

"Oh, hi, Cyndaquil. Gabite." Shandon finally walked out of the tent, changed into his regular
clothes. Cyndaquil ran to his side and brushed its head against his leg. Gabite roared quietly and
walked over.

"Alright, guys. Today we challenge Martin to try and earn the Granite Badge. You ready?"
Shandon had been anxious to challenge Martin since he first arrived.

Cyndaquil chirped cheerfully. "Cyndaquil!"

Gabite put its claws together and growled. "Gaaabite."

"And don't forget about Steelix." Shandon, Cyndaquil and Gabite stared at the PokeBall.

So all three set out to walk to the Graniford Gym. They walked confidently, with cheering
townsfolk yelling all sorts of encouraging things.

At last they got to the gym. Shandon stared at the barred doors of the Graniford Gym.

"Wow. It kind of looks like a large jail cell. Well, Cyndaquil?" Shandon looked down at the little
Pokemon.

"-Quil." Cyndaquil replied, not knowing what it was replying to.

Shandon carefully opened the metal door and peaked in. Though it looked like a cell from outside,
it was a dojo inside. And sitting in the center, meditating, was a brawny man with 10-pack abs.
This had to be Martin.

Shandon walked over to the man and asked. "Martin?"

The man formed a hand sign and stuck out his arm. 3 PokeBalls seemed to come out of nowhere
and landed gently on his palm. He opened his eyes to see Shandon.

"Yes. I'm Martin, the Gym Leader. I take it your up for a battle?" Then Martin realized. This wasn't
any oldd trainer. This was the boy who captured the Steelix! "Shandon! I didn't recognize you.
What a surprise."

Shandon patted the back of his head. "Where did you learn that PokeBall thing?"

"Through the power of meditation. You can do amazing things with it. Anyways, are you ready for
your 1st Gym Battle?" Martin smiled.

"Oh yeah! Why else would we have come here?" Shandon smirked.

Martin stood up and guided shandon to the battle arena. The spacious dome lit up with torches.
To Shandon, it look like a roofed Roman Coliseum.

Shandon and Martin lined up on the ends of the large field.

"Alright, Shandon. This is 3-on-3. Got your Pokemon ready?" Martin held up a PokeBall.

"Yes, I do. Let's get it on!" Shandon stood firmly.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Go, Machop!" Martin threw a PokeBall out in front of him. A small wrestler's shape appeared. The
light unveiled Machop in a fighter's stance.

"Go, Cyndaquil!" Shandon called. Cyndaquil ran from his side and blazed it's flames heavily.

"Alright, Machop! Bullet Punch!" Martin ordered. Machop ran at bewildering speed and met
Cyndaquil face-to-face before swinging it's fist straight at Cyndaquil. =Bang!= Cyndaquil was
knocked to the far side of the arena. It slowly got up at the urge.

"Cyndaquil, Flare Blitz!" Cyndaquil lit up in an orange cloak and dashed at Machop.

"Wait for it... Now, Vital Throw!" Machop stood still and waited until Cyndaquil was right in front.
Machop then tightly grabbed Cyndaquil and began swinging it around. Around and around it went,
faster by every loop.

"Cyndaquil! Put your back to Machop and ignite the flames!" Shandon called. Cyndaquil burned up
violently and Machop had to let go because of the burn. Cyndaquil went flying.

"Cyndaquil, turn around and use Heat Wave!" Cyndaquil flipped and spewed from its mouth a fiery
inferno. Machop was struck by the heat, and skidded at Martin. Machop had fainted.

"Machop, return." Martin called back Machop back to the ball.

"Cyndaquil, get back." Cyndaquil went back to Shandon's side.

Martin threw another PokeBall. "Go, Meditite!" Meditite's shape appeared in the light, hovering in
the air. When the light vanished, Meditite was apparently meditating. "What's your's, Shandon?"

Shandon held up an Ultra Ball. "Let's see..."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Shandon threw the ball up high in the air. "Go... Steelix!!!"

Martin and Meditite gasped as they saw the Iron Snake's shape appear in a curtain of light.
The light disappeared, and Steelix screamed in rage. "STEEEEEELIX!"

"Wow. A Steelix. I've never battled one of them before. Let's see how this goes. Meditite,
use Meditate!" Martin called. Meditite began hovering, concentrating its mind.

"Steelix! Ice Fang!" Steelix lunged outwards, fangs frozen solid. It gaped its mouth over Meditite,
who, unfortunately, was still focusing.

"Meditite, snap out of it, quick!" Martin screamed. Meditite opened its eyes, now staring down
Steelix's throat. It couldn't move, because now Steelix's fangs had clenched on to Meditite.
Meditite instantly froze solid in a matter of seconds. Though, it had its eyes still opened fully,
it fainted inside the block.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Martin rushed over to the ice block holding Meditite. "Shandon. Do you have an Ice Heal?"

"Yeah. Good trainers always come prepared." Shandon pulled an Ice Heal out of his bag and used
it on the frozen Meditite. In a little bit, it was unfrozen. Meditite still was shivering and was
returned to its PokeBall.

"Great job Shandon. You are doing well. I'm down to our last Pokemon. Here it goes. Go...
Monferno!" Martin threw a PokeBall at the ground. A long-tailed monkey appeared in a flash of
light.

"Monferrrrno!" Monferno beat its arms on its chest.

"I think I'll keep Steelix in play, for now." Shandon pointed Steelix into the battlefield.

"STEEEEELIX!" Steelix raged. The Iron Snake already made Monferno nervous at the sight.

"Alright, Monferno! Mach Punch!" Monferno sped towards Steelix with a speedy fist. Steelix
growled slightly and dug underground. Monferno stopped in its tracks and looked around
nervously. Steelix stayed there for a few moments before steadily tunneling back to the surface.
Everyone jumped to see a sifting dirt pile shake off in a blanket of sand over the entire gym.
Steelix opened its mouth out wide and lunged downwards.

"Steelix! Thunder Fang!" Shandon realized what was happening and called out. Steelix's fangs
glowed in a golden halo of electricity as it chomped down on Monferno.

"Mooooooooon!!!!" Monferno screamed in pain as Steelix crunched down harder. Finally, Steelix
let go, leaving Monferno deeply paralyzed. It collapsed on the dirt ground, fainted.

"STEEEEEEEEEELIX!" Steelix triumphantly roared. Martin returned Monferno to its PokeBall and
slowly walked over to Shandon, who sent Steelix back to its ball.

"Great battle, Shandon. Great. I can't believe how well you commanded that Steelix. You deserve
this." Martin stuck out his hand and held a Granite Badge.

"Thank you, Martin. Thank you." Shandon smiled.

Gabite and Cyndaquil both sat next to him.

"Gabite!" Gabite happily said.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here you go. Chapter 5. Enjoy. David out.

Y'know, you've really improved quite a bit. It is a bit similar to the anime, but I don't really consider that a bad thing. It's neat that you're able to capture the feeling like that.
