No need to ban the Mesprit X. It only has a .926% chance (One Rainbow without Psychic on the same die= 1/6, One psychic with no Rainbow on the same die= 1/6, One die with both= 1/3) of going off and it is easy to KO. Be thorough if you decide to ban cards for play at League with Rumble. Mesprit is a heavy hitter, but it would just fizzle most of the time :thumb:

p1 = 1/3 (Rainbow & Psychic)
p2 = 1/6 (Psychic)
p3 = 1/6 (Rainbow)

You need 2 hits, any 2 will do, so

p = (p1*p2) + (p1 * p3) + (p2 * p3) = ~14%

Just remember, it has to be way higher than the odds of getting a specific set of doubles on normal dice (1/36 ~3%). That'd be the case if you had just p2 and p3, but not only do you have a 3rd die, but that die has 2 "hits" on it.

Guess it's been too long since I figured independent variables. :redface:
But at least the formula still makes sense to me :lol:

Took this to League on Thursday and played 4 games ranging from 2 - 7 players. This is one fun game.

the 6 of us at my league (this is counting myself and the co-leader) tried it a few times. we even used some of our DP on cards - save the one delta Grovyle we had in for kicks. It can be quite addicting.

Im actually gonna make a rules sheet for all the TCG cards and a way to modify the playing of the game to make all the attacks work. I think I have quite a doozy planned for alot of the cards.

we're working on a "restricted" list as we found some cards to be a bit too powerful....such as Blaziken FB Lv X.....

Has anyone found this in stores yet though? I would like a copy of my own and have not found it even though it was supposed to be in stores on Dec 2nd? (Maybe that was just for leagues though?)

I saw it on the shelve at a store called Heroes World in Markham, Ontario. I wanted to pick it up but, I was feeling to sick and had no money for extra things.

B& B Games in Eureka has it.

B&B Games in St. Peters will have it at the City Championship on Saturday for sale!

Cool game!!!

We had one at the Citys yesterday, I did not get to play it, but it looked interesting.
Afterwords, I looked at a couple of Targets for it, but no luck.

Those are the odds of getting 1 psychic. Odds of getting two psychics is less than a 1% chance.

The street date is tomorrow, the 8th.

The odds of getting (at least) one Psychic is
1/6+1/6+1/3= ~67%.

You do accept that getting 2 6s on 2 standard 6 sided dice is on 1/36 right?

Just got to play it today. It is a very fun game. We ended up making a house game out of it. There is lots of potential with this thing. Now to find it, because the local game stores don't even have it yet either X_x (I will still keep checking though.)

must buy a copy!

For three dice and two or more must hit p = p1 * p2 * ~p3 + p1 * ~p2 * p3 + ~p1 * p2 * p3 + p1 * p2 * p3 where ~ is not
For the 1/3rd 1/6th 1/6th case this is approx 12% ie 1:8 odds

---
The probability of getting at least one hit is approx 54% : close to that for flipping tails with a POP coin :D

Don't you roll four dice for each attack?

I'm not sure, but I think that one dice has neither a Psychic nor a Rainbow symbol, which is why the probabilities only include 3 dice.
