Interestingly enough, in popping over to the pokemon-tcg.com site, clicking the link for Collecting, I found this:

Card Collecting Spotlight

Welcome collectors! Even if you're not a serious trading card game player, you can still have a lot of fun with Pokémon trading cards just by collecting them. Featuring amazingly creative pictures of your favorite Pokémon, Pokémon trading cards are extremely collectible. There are already thousands of Pokémon trading cards available.

It's good to know I really aren't misguided in my collecting fervor !

FYI - the link for Customer Service on pokemon-tcg.com leads one to http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/index.jsp

...now that I have received email reply, I can post that (as a direct result of this thread) I was contacted by a PUI representative, and we are looking at ways to "make this customer a satisfied one"!

Sorry Brian, but I have to say this;

No I'm not going to say it.

(tries to keep optimistic)

I'll let you know how it turns out (also an optimist!) - well, as much as I am allowed!

This was a worse misplay on Nintendo's part than candying 3 blazikens and a pidgeot, only to get ATM rocked. =/

I hope you get your cards replaced. Maybe they should change the name of the game to "Pokemon Playing Card Game" :nonono:

I think part of the problem is that ever since Dragon Nintendo has been making reverse holos so incredibly retarded, that they look exactly like regular holos. This way they are more prone to scratching.

Wow! I'll trade you for some of those Dragon reverse holos that "look exactly like regular holos"!
What do you want for them? :D

Oops I forgot that Magma had them too. I should say starting from Hidden Legends, the holos look the same as reverse holos.

Hmm interesting and unusual situation. I had a situation like this when EX: Sandstorm first came out (I had some miscut cards), and I called Nintendo of America since they are the ones handling all of our customer related issues. They were completly understanding back then and a replacement was quickly sent.

I think PUI needs to become aware of this situation in paticular as they are at the very highest level of the creation of the U.S. version of the Pokemon TCG. Sigh...really wierd situation.

i have to admit that wehn red/green was released, i opened a pack, and my articuno was totally stuck to the other card, and the extra foil ripped the card ALOT. I was annoyed.

Note the posts above which state that a PUI rep has seen this thread and replied offline  :thumb:

Yeah, that is really annoying. Many of my cards have been ruined that way. . . :frown:

Also, just a note to everybody, don't ever store your collection where the cards touch each other. That sticking seems to occur frequently. . . . :frown:
