Pokemon tcg online lunala gx move

I was recently playing pokemon tcg online and something bothered me.
I wondering why glaceon ex move crystal ray doesn't stop it from being knocked out by lunala gx move lunar fall. Its clearly an evolution pokemon so if someone could explain this to me that would be great

Well, Lunala GX is an Evolution Pokemon and Glaceon EX is a Basic Pokemon, each required for the effect of their respective attacks.
But Crystal Ray only prevents "damage done" by Evolved Pokemon.
So, while Lunala GX is an evolved Pokemon, Lunar Fall GX doesn't do any damage.
It says "Knock Out". That's an effect, not damage.
So Crystal Ray doesn't interact with Lunar Fall GX at all.
