What are Limited and Unlimited Formats.
Limited = Expedition and up, plus Nintendo-released promos 001 and up.
Unlimited = all cards from all sets & promos, except for Ancient Mew & Birthday Pikachu.

Hope this helps,
- CHRISBO

Actually, Limited is a few different formats:

Sealed - Here's some packs, go make a 40 card deck.
Draft - here's some packs and 7 other people. Pass your packs around after you take a card, then go make a deck with what you drafted.

Chrisbo's definition of Limited is actually what the current Modified Constructed Format is.

He suffers from the same thing I do, fingers function faster than the brain sometimes ;)

Gah! So true. It was a long day and my brain was working at less-than-optimal capacity.

Now let's get this topic back on track; who's coming to GenCon-SoCal???

Sorry about the mix-up,
- CHRISBO

I'll be there on Saturday, and possibly late Thursday night. Can't make it on Friday, unfortunately; darn work and their anti-skipping laws... :p

See ya,
- CHRISBO

Well... I'll be there Thursday - Saturday, but I won't be able to play in the tournaments (darn money, why can't I get my Money Tree to sprout). I'll be most of the time volunteering at the Pokémon Booth so stop on by and say hi (and bring food!).

Just finished pre-registering for Saturday/Sunday.

So Chris, not showing Sunday? I need a sealed partner. ;) *Wink wink nudge nudge*

So, the Dragon Prerelease. Will that overlap the Modified play at 4 PM? And as a matter of fact, is that just free modified play, or is that an actual organized tournament?

How much does it actually cost to enter GenCon? Can you just walk into the tournament area, pay the Pokemon tournament fee, then play, or do you have to pay for GenCon, too?

You'll have to pay to enter GenCon. Good question, KARL will you need TICKETS or proof of tourney purchase or can it be taken care of with you?

@ Indy ALL had to be done by TIX. No cash @ the event location

Admission to the show itself currently costs $20 per day, or $50 for a four-day pass (but it cost less if you pre-registered a month ago). Each individual event costs money on top of that; prices will vary (i.e. drafts will cost more than constructed tourneys, naturally).

I'm heading on down there right now and will be there this evening (Thurs).

See ya,
- CHRISBO

:D Dont forget about all the free dual masters booster packs :D
Oh yhea... that was great. We had such a big pile of Duel Masters Wrapings at the Tournament Area. Not to mention tons of EX: Dragon Wrapings. I think we all got a little tired of Dragon after that.

3 boxes worth and I still had to trade for the Holo Salamence to complete the set.

Eric is Bonnie now? When did that happen =P

Uh, do email Karl... I won't call you on the spelunking...
