Pokemon Tournaments

Okay, why do they ban legendary Pokemon from Tournaments. I understand that most of them have better stats then other but, you can't expect all Pokemon to have the same stats. That rule prevents my main team from entering in a tournament. I can understand Wobbuffet and Wynaut as the match would never end if any of those two were up against each other. No Pokemon should be banned from a tournament because a tournament is to see who is the best by allowing all things a game allows you to have, not restricting things so you can make it fair to another player who might not have all the stuff you have because if they do it like that the should ban Flariados, MetaNite, Raieggs, Sallygross, BanDoom from POP tournaments for being to powerful but, they don't because they can be beat. That's why they should not ban the legendaries, Wobbuffet and Wynaut because the can be beat... my Lugia got one shotted by a shedinja by Shadow Ball and by Lugia has 443 Special Defense and 346 HP. Legendary Pokemon have areas they are good in and areas they are bad in, just like all Pokemon. Slaking kills my team in one hit... kill just about any team in one hit because of his high Attack stats and his high HP and Speed stat is nothing to mess with but, they don't ban him and he kills in one hit. All I am saying is they should not be ban Pokemon because people play with what they like and I like the Pokemon on my team ( Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres , Latios, Latias, Lugia), Vaporeon might be there, but I play with my favorites and for someone to tell me no will make me mad because I worked hard to train my team... EV training is not easy. I say people need to suck it up and deal with it because when you play in a tournament, you play to win, not to make it easy for your opponent and when I battle people, I give them a hard time. Does any one else agree with me.

Not really, they are in the game, you should be able to use them. If you can't use the, they should not be in the game.

some ubers have 100 point difference in some stats =/ . By all means use them but a lot of people will hate you if you use them

o and another thing what does Metanite, bandoom, and raieggs have to do with pokemon the video game?
Jeez ubers are like Guns to Knives. Its just unfair

Adam Garcia, I know the card game and video games are different but the same things apply. All people don't like it when people play with "ubers" as people call them but when people play with the deck that win 98% of the time, you can also say thats unfair too right making the deck itself uber. All I am saying people should be able to play what Pokemon they want.

the same thing doesnt apply at all. Pokemon the card game takes skill and luck to win. Any noob can get a legendary and win because of their massive stats. We can argue for as long as u like. It will not make people want to play Ubers in tourneys

So you rather not fight Pokemon with stats like that, takes the fun out of the game if you want it easy. You can train Pokemon to have stats like that and most of them are not that bad and can still be taken out.

Um...just to save you time on google, the only pokemon that have 680 base stats are Ubers, so no. You can't just train any pokemon to have stats like that. One will have a very high stat in attack/sp atk but low in their defenses/speed, which balances things out.

Plus, it's too easy to get a legendary with good stats because all you have to do is just chuck a master ball and soft reset if you don't like it. Saves more time than hatching eggs. And that could just put everyone else's efforts into waste from hatching numerous eggs just to get a hatchling with near perfect stats.

ubers are discouraged because they show a lack of creativity and skill. Not to mention, they are boring to use. Ubers, not Legendaries because there is a difference, are 'super powered' because of their 'super' stats.

In short, they make the game (battling) unbalanced due to their extremely high stats and movepools.

Here's my two cents. Vaporeon, I agree wholeheartedly that if the Legendaries and Ubers are in the game, then it's perfectly acceptable to use them. However, just because you can do something, doesn't mean you should. Think about it. If you could use Legendaries and Ubers in tournaments, all the players who don';t use them, like me, get wkiped out immediately. At the same time, all the players who do wind up pitting Mewtwo vs. Mewtwo and Arceus vs. Arceus. But there are only two overused non-Legendaries aside from Wobbufet, and those would be Blissey and Charizard, and even then, alot of people use other pokemon. So instead of mirror battles, you get more fun and diverse battles. I's simplicity in itself. Otherwise the tournament would just be boring.

Some of them are not there, but I see why Arceus can't be used. But you can always get Pokemon with good stats.
