Poker losses

I know a lot of you are good poker players, and you've made good incomes from it. What I'm wondering is... how do you guys deal with the swings? I've been way up and way down and finally, mostly out of frustration, bad beats, and tilt, I went bust on one of my accounts. So anyone got any horror stories to make me feel better?

gambling is overhyped these days. only 10% of the field at the wsop main event makes ANY money. you have to remember that for every winner, there is at least one loser. if i wanted to gamble, i'd play the stock market. that's where the real money is.

Exactly, if someone is willing to gamble they must know that the odds are in their favour. Betting agencies should break even every year if they gave fair odds. If they make profit, they on averasge will take your money. Its all very well Sky sports showing poker million, where you can win a £1,000,000. They don't show where that £1,100,000 came from (at least 10% would be needed for a casinos commision). Gambeling may or may not do you any good, But the odds are against you, its not worth it.

That's why Hold 'Em is so popular. Because if you have a lot of skill, you have higher odds of winning then playing craps, blackjack, roullette, etc..

I really am Joseph Hachem. Seriously.

Oy Oy Oy!

Btw, I was watching the WSOP... ugh, Raymer got so screwed. The guy who beat him with QJ suited was a donk ;(

Poker losses? WHAT?

So I won a satellite to play in the $150000 guaranteed $200 + 15 buyin at UltimateBet. Woohoo, I cashed. $300.

I'm all in.
