NOTES:

FYI - some of either Season 1 or 2 kits included R&S Challenge stickers &/or tatoos until supplies were depleted.

Each kit includes a window cling and poster which have changed every two months so far.

April 2004 - window clings and posters reduced to 1 per order. Jumbo production halted as too costly and 'not cool'

Brian, you might want to mention how many of each are included in each kit as well to avoid confusion. Some people I've talked to were under the impression there were more in the kits than actually were.

Well, this is intended just to list the unique items, rather than an exact count of each item (which seems to be the League Leaders business, IMO). Besides, I cannot expect to know how the League kits are configured outside North America (N.A.). I've heard & read that there may be fundamental differences.

ProfDav has posted publicly that each kit is meant to support 16 players (again, N.A. kits), and since one of each participation card and one of each badge is "allocated" per player, quantities can be deduced therefrom. Similarly, since the kit content is strongly patterned after the BZ kits of early last year, Winner cards are included at 1/2 the amount of player participation cards. This pretty much sums it up ;)!

Rainbow, unless you have it backwards, I will trade you a jumbo metal energy for a jumbo darkness energy!

You're ON! **runs and looks for Jumbo Dark energy - comes back wearing a sheepish grin - makes appropriate changes to first post ** - Thanks for the correction!

RR: When you say the Oran Berry is indistinguishable, do you mean totally, completely indistinguishable?
No promo symbol or some kind of marking???

If I recall, early leagues got a box of Plus Power cards to give out. You didn't get a new promo every month back then. Remember?

That's right - totally identical with the card from R&S boosters. The "card ID" on the promos ends in

"-TAG", but I haven't yet gone fishing amongst my R&S copies to see if they also sport the same number (one card I had out ended differently - the first two groups of 3 characters were the same on both cards)

No promo symbol (not like they did with the Bagons) - the energy promos all sport the expansion symbols and numbering form R&S or SS, as does Oran Berry. The energies received holo treatment, but not the Oran Berry.

I was running a POP League since the inception - never saw or heard of PlusPower cards being included - do you mean POP or WotC?

This is a list of POP-only kit contents...

Nope. I have a booster one that has -TAG.

When they released Oran Berry as a promo in Japan, at least they had small text on it identifying it as a promo...

Yeah, but the Japanese promos also have the neat 7-11 and McDonalds symbols (and others) , too. Did your Target promos have a red Bullseye on them?! Mine didn't :(

Thanks for checking the ID number thing :).

I checked the R&S cards we have and the EXACT card ID, including the number and TAG on the "promo" was identical to some of the R&S cards that were pulled from booster packs.

Just get maril2k to make them "winner" stamped for you ;)

Hmm... maybe I should start taking orders ;)

Actually, my league does enjoy the 'WINNER'-marked energy cards... Anything can become a WINNER promo with the help of your handy little sharpie... you just need to get the skill down first (the Poke Ball mark can be tricky...). If anyone wants me to send out a few, I'll be up for it, just send me a PM...

Just remember, it's not the League's fault. They have to deal with what they are given in their kits.

I wonder when we will start getting good promos in? Cause this energy and berry league promos are really not that great.

At least there is prize support for the USA based leagues.
Stop complaining unless you are outside the borders of the US

BTW if you dont like the cards take it anyway and give it some newer player or younger player. Someone will enjoy it. Better than sitting in a box on some store owners office.

At least Berry is a good playable card. They aren't giving us new cards but at least they're giving us good cards.

>Stop complaining unless you are outside the borders of the US

Because, you know, even when there was decent prize support outside the US, I'm sure no one OS ever complained...

Actually, if you can get a sealed pack of league oran berries, maybe then you can prove your oran berries are promos.

My Oran Berries from R/S differ in the card ID.

SteveP - so far there have been at least two different card IDs found on the booster pack Oran Berry cards, one of which is the same as that found on the League promo cards. So, yeah, you'd need a sealed pack of non-winner cards to 'prove' it was a promo...

At least one of my League members was very glad to receive the Dynamo Badge this past weekend :)!
