Magnezone/Donphan is actually pretty good. It plays very similar to Magnerock, but with an added Donphan as an extra attacker.
 
It doesn't play similarly to Magnerock because reigrock accelerated energy out of discard pile donphan does no such thing. It is no where near as fast or powerful as a magnezone/any energy acceleration card.

I was talking about in the current MD-on metagame because I just saw it being played yesterday. He played it like Magnerock, but threw in a 3-3 Donphan Line so he didn't have to lost burn every turn.
