Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Post-Release SSBB Discussion [SPOILERS]

Edge guarding is one mechanic I wish was removed from the game to much like wave dashing was. Its a very cheap and unskilled way to get a KO.

But when they get back on the edge dont they just automatically attack?

The idea is that you can essentially "juggle" them until their % is so high they'll just be knocked off-screen. There's also edgehogging which I prefer and ZSS is VERY good at, that's when you hang off the ledge making it impossible for your opponent to get on.

Ah, but unlike Wavedashing, you can get out of an edgeguard, even a very good one!

Even if ZSS is sitting on the edge waiting for my move I could still 1. Jump over her, 2. hit her while getting on stage (Making her unable to attack me while I'm hitting her.) or 3. grab the ledge (Hard to hit someone on a ledge.)

And even some people (Like lucario, jigglypuff, kirby, ECT.) are almost immune to edgeguarding if used right. (Go ahead, try to attack my jigglypuff using rollout...)

When your hit with Wavedash, your done... Very few times do you come out of it... :nonono:

No, if you hit the edge you get temporary invincibilty so they can't knock you off. You have to time it just right so they can't damage you, then they fall off the edge =D.

I liked zss until I realized how many stages have inclines that makes most of her smashes useless. Honestly, that girl can't hit anything on some stages.

Wavedash wasn't an attack, it was a means of traveling through the stage at impossible speeds, so I don't understand what you mean by "get out of it", it wasn't an offensive combo, albeit many combos themselves couldn't be possible at high percentages because of knockback.

Ah sorry, I was thinking of waveflash (With fox...) The one where he uses B+down then rolls and makes a continious attack...

IIRC, it's actually called waveshining. And it combines wavedashing (not rolling) and down b.
I'm not trying to sound mean btw.

you know, if they wouldve made the online play lag-free, got rid of friend codes, and added voice chat, i would be all over this game. i guess they aren't xbox live....

Biggest problem I got with Wifi is button delay, I think its the reason I lose more then win when it comes to Wifi, you be smashing combos, get hit, then the combo happens WAM! Suicide. Its impossible to time anything because the delay duration varies from about .3 - 1 full sec. Some people apparently has advantage and can play perfectly with the button delay, I dont know if this is a Wii issue or if its all Wifi issue, because its apparent not all Wiis are the same, I bet I could pop my Brawl disc into someone elses Wii and good chance I wont experience any button delay on wifi.

You have to admit it's awesome, though, when a Ness/Lucas whiffs a PK Thunder on himself and dies because of lag.
