Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Post Rotations: Charizard COULD be Win.

I think that if Charizard is going to be good after the rotation this is going to be better:

Reshiram - Fire - HP130
Basic Pokemon

[C][C] Outrage: Does 20 damage plus an additional 10 damage times the number of damage counters on this Pokemon.
[R][R][C] Blue Flame: 120 damage. Choose 2 Fire Energy attached to this Pokemon and discard them.

Weakness: Water (x2)
Resistance: none
Retreat: 2

A stage 2 that isn't your main attacker is a huuuuge pain to set up. Probably not worth it.

@king of japan what you havnt heard? Pokemon gets you mad girlzzzz and cash. Kesha talks about it in her new song

And god this thread is nothing but crying. Tell you what, when the rotation is released then let's talk about it, untill then let's talk about what matters now.

And yes luck plays a small factor but even more so deck building and your ability to play is more important. Building your deck to consistantly have less and less bad starts is key. And being able to find some way to pull things out of a bad hand is what makes someone a great player.
Yea donks happen. Yea energy droughts happen. But what can you change to make sure that it doesn't happen as often?

Oh hey everyone let's speculate about what decks will be good during the next format, I mean remember when we all tested PT-on 8 months ago, oh boy that sure...

...oh wait.

Charizard will be terrible against Lost World decks, if and when the card comes out.

Full bench and no BTS makes for an ugly matchup against Gengar Prime.

Uh guys, this disscusion has reached a closing point. It was too early to speculate on the next format, I was just excited and jumped the gun. Let it rest now.

Phazon Elite: Oh come on. You all hype SP decks and if they were still legal after rotations, you SP Fanboys would say: "It doesnt matter what B/W cards come out, SP will still be Tier 1." I know thats what you SP lovers will say. I remain behind my statment. The only deck we saw with Feraligatr Prime was Blastoise, but that deck didnt do too well. Havent ever seen it top cut. Charizard on the other hand has.

First, I don't hype SP. If you haven't noticed, I have been hyping my stupid Blissey/Drapion deck like a B-Rated movie producer that used all his budget on subliminal advertising (OBEY! Blissey/Drapion! OBEY!). Right now, I see no need to be yet another random person hyping one of the major decks out there, mostly because I haven't used it in forever. Plus, my list is most likely behind by a few months, so any perspective I could offer would be a bit dated. In addition (yes, I only know how to start a sentence in one way), Blissey/Drapion rolls off the tongue wonderfully.

Second, your argument against Feraligatr sounds just like an argument someone could use against Charizard: It was never used that much, so clearly, it won't ever be a viable deck choice. However, my unused deck will be (and is clearly much better than YOUR unused deck), because I'm the one arguing it.

Hence my (admittedly) mildly amusing joke.

I have heard enough about Charizard.

It has been hyped countless times and never lived up to its fame. I'm still not seeing it.

It;s not a terrible deck. It is not great tho.

I haven't read the whole thread, so I don't know if this has been mentioned, but I'm pretty sure that Eric Nance won a States with Charizard (not this season, last season).

I play charizard. Bronzong is a horriable card for the deck. It limits the dammage you can do and cant attack unless you add in psy energy. 1 Uxie is all yoiu need non fire

I respectfully disagree. Bronzong does not increase damage yes, but its Cycler power is VERY nice. It keeps my energy supply comming for the use of Roast Reveal.

The extra 10 is not that big of a deal, you are already doing 70-90 for 1. It's not like there are loads of Pokemon out there that have exactly 80 HP that might be nice to OHKO, right?

But in all seriousness - you probably aren't going to have a full bench before those SP Pokemon level up, so not a big deal.
