I know, It would be nice to have them as collateral instead of actually selling so this way I can buy the games back.

These condition games should expect a high VGA grade
These are not the typical couple hundred dollar each worth games with a crap load of flaws.
These have the potential to reach High VGA grade and sell in the thousands

I'm not done yet I still have a long list of cards which Im working on getting listed.

I should have a youtube video uploaded tonight/tomorrow

@BBmaster I think you might be wrong on about showing my face. If I showed my face I'm sure alot of people would appreciate it so this way they will be more trusting and for helping me out.
It's always better to work with a familiar face than someone you can't see. Also I'm sure it will help considering I never shown my face before.
 
I don't really know but I imagine youtube isn't going to be your best bet in selling. I realize there is a group of people that will find your video, but there's nowhere near the volume of people there that would be reached through Ebay. You will run into the issue of fees from Ebay though. but it's something you should think about.

I do have long hair that goes down to my mid back or further down.
( just trimmed the ends by like an inch so this way it can grow longer)

I have complete common,uncommon,rares of
Neo genesis,neo discovery,gym heroes,gymm challenge,team rocket all first edition non holo fresh out the pack mint condition

I also have base unlimited cards non holo complete set either fresh out the pack mint to near mint-mint
The complete base holo excellent-near mint

I'm checking now, I have so many cards that I'm looking through.
But what I listed off the top of my head is what i remember having.
 
Instead of typing everything up here, which probably took you quite a bit of time, why didn't you use that time and put it all on eBay? It's not going to sell if you don't sell it. And Dan is right, if you need a lot of money quickly, then there is no point in selling miniature cards that will go for $1 each. If it is really that important to you, then take the hit by selling something that is actually worth a lot.

nope showing your face doesnt do much on youtube.unless you have like over 1k subs or more then it might be something.if you have like 100-400 it wont get you anywhere at all you would get manybe a few views here and there nothing major unless your well known around with everyone.i seen countless videos of people not showing their faces and in time they get to the point of higher views.thats how youtube kinda works same with any video around there really.

if you never sold on ebay at all and i mean you just buy and never have sold.what ebay will do is hold your funds for a specific amount of time mainly 2 weeks or less and then give it to you since you jsut started selling or the item reaches the buyer fast.instead of asking for the price wise of cards just start listing them up fast and look at completed listings so you can get your money fast or start selling something worth the money if your that desperate.

The only reason eBay has for not releasing your funds instantly is that you have not been a member for at least 90 days. As long as you have been a member for longer than that, they should not hold your funds.
 
no i think its a new policy or something cause my friend had his account back in 09 but never sold anything till the last month and ebay held his funds for about almost a week or 2 cause he never sold before just buy things

So should I sell directly via paypal
Maybe use ebay as a way to advertise but sell off of ebay via paypal?

what are the pros and cons of that?

there are alot of flaws in just that.unless you have feedback from sites that you have sold things to others.people wont do that cause they dont know if your trusted or not even if you have feedback just buying things.buyers would rather do it on ebay since they know that they can report you if anything happens and the feedback rating is there as well.
 
Put them up on eBay as lots, if they sell then good for you. If not, then there's nothing to loose. But talking about it isn't going to get you any where. You, and only You, need to take the initiative and act rather than talk.

As for PayPal holding back money, I made a new account a few months ago, sold three items and had the money waiting for me instantly. Also, those were large sums of money (I don't know if that changes anything.)
 
1. It's against eBay rules and you could get your account suspended.

2. You could get ripped off. If you bypass eBay you have NO protection.
 
I thought paypal directly also is protective of it's customers afterall ebay owns paypal.

Also whule were on the matter what are these new big changes paypal is doing?
I seen something on yahoo trends but they have alot of run on explanations and do not get to the point fast enough.

So can someone explain to me this and how/why does this effect me?
 
Heres an example...You have a high ebay rating, but never sold any item in your life or in the past 3 months. You list some stuff. I buy one of your item for X dollars. You get charged a 9% ebay fee and 2.9% + .30 cent paypal fee. You have the option of shipping the item with

1) a stamp = 21 days until the funds (X dollars - the paypal fee) (not included the ebay fee because it is paid on the 15th of every month).

2) delivery confirmation = the funds (x dollars - paypal fees) will be released 3 days after confirmed delivery.

If you do it on Pokegym (I never done it before). You can go thru paypal only and it saves you the 9% fee and the money goes thru right away. (X dollars - paypal fees)

In less words your saying even if i get the $1500 tonight in my account Im still screwed because it wont be until february until I am able to send the $1500 to the destination i need it to go?

I'm thinking of putting an ad on ebay( I seen some people do this before) and then sell their items off ebay like ad listing/classifieds

Prob my best bet is selling via youtube and paypal

with only a few vids I already had over 20k views

And people are always contacting me asking me if i wanna sell/buy

So if I do paypal directly and get paid asap, will i be able to pay off asap.

In other words whats the deadlined to be paid so I can pay by jan 31st or am I already screwed?
 
Well considering you keep talking and not listing or advertising your cards, you're probably already screwed... Sorry, but you really need to stop posting on here and start getting stuff out there if you are really in as much need for this money as you say you are.

When you start listing on eBay, auctions take 6 days to complete. Then you have to wait for the buyer to pay. Then you have to send out your item. When eBay confirms that the item has arrived they USUALLY give you your funds if you are a new seller. But recently my boyfriend sold 1000s of cards on eBay in lots, shipped through eBay and it still took a month for PayPal to release his money. So I'm not sure what they go by when they decided how long to hold your money.

YouTube is probably going to be super slow if you don't have many subscribers. Views don't mean you have a lot of loyal viewers. If you have old videos then of course they have many views...

So get listing dude. If you don't start today, then you are screwed... (And you might already be too late.)

ONLY if you use ebay paypal will hold the funds since the new policy kicks in thats what will happen.you seen people advertise but they might have a good reputation to do it.someone already stated what can happen if you do that and also your forgetting the fees along with the whole listing thing.

youtube will be slower if you only have a few videos and only 20k views thats for all your videos not just 1 just letting you know the more subscribers you have the more your videos will get seen if not then dont even bother just list what you can cause the more you drag it on the more precious time your wasting.
 
Yea I know, I am gonna sell everything starting tomorrow.
And I am not wasting my time listing here on gym because I still need the list when i put it online for sale.

So I will keep updating the list tonight/tomorrow on gym
hitting 2 birds with 1 stone with the list, getting a price est and having it for sale online somewhere

So making the list is not a waste of time.

Does paypal hold funds even if i sell via paypal.
Lets just say i sell via paypal without ebay does paypal still hold funds?
by the way im not withdrawing money im transfering it over to another paypal account. when i do get the money I am paying what i have to get paid via paypal
 
why list here when 1) you don't have seller privileges and 2) selling via PM/email when you don't have sales privs is against 'gym rules?

and advertising the fact that you want to bypass ebay or paypal rules if they're inconvenient for you isn't exactly painting you as a person one would want to deal with, imho...
 
I'm not trying to by pass ebay/paypal rules. I'm just inquiring about what would be the best option on getting me the money I'm looking for without delays.

In one hand ebay will hold the funds which defeats the purpose of me selling off my collection, which is why I asked if paypal directly will work as in will they hold the funds? or will I be able to access them asap?

I am not selling via email/pm here on pokegym. I think this was clear and established from the beginning as i said to everyone do not break the rules.

That I am asking advice here on gym. I know I can't sell here nor did i ever link anyone to a site where I am selling so I cannot be in trouble for advertising.

I apologize if there has been any confusion on my part on insinuating i was trying to break gym rules or by pass ebay/paypal policy. I was thinking outloud and inquiring what actions I should do.

Obviously i have no plans on doing anything bad because I would have just done whatever i wanted and not ask advice, obviously i dont have any plans on doing anything bad if i said perhaps showing my face would help.

All my intentions are good, if i asked anything questionable it is because i was thinking outloud to come up with the right solution. You know think before you act.
