energy:

Strategy: Set up 1 or 2 primapes, hopefully with uxie lv x on bench for some draw power. use chatot g's power to put a High HP pokemon on top of their deck, use primapes attack to discard that pokemon, and do damage equal to its HP. 4 poketurns and 4 SSU for using the power as much as possible. Luxray GL is to bring up a pokemon i dont want them to have out, more often than not, its gonna be their main source of damage towards me, drop a chatot, rearrange the cards, and hit em hard with primape. if theres nothin good, bring up chatot instead and use his attack to put him back into my deck, or use lookers to make them get a new hand, and i SSU/poketurn Chatot, use its power again to get a pokemon on top. absol g for its lvl x power. flip 3 coins send top card of opponents deck to lost zone for each heads. RINSE AND REPEAT FTW

this list is based on the next format being MD on---
If its GE on-- then i will -3-1 uxie lv x -2 machamp GL +2-2 claydol +2 unown G. who knows.

EDITS!!!

no more absol G
ive lowered the chatot g count
changed uxie line to a 2-2 claydol line and took out 1 luxray
added stark mountain and TGW, put in a couple energy gain and took out power sprays since I wont have that many SP pokemon in play usually, then sprays make me poltergeist gengar bait

Primeape LV.45 - Fighting - HP90

I was thinking about using Luxray Gl Lv X with this actually. Drop chatot down, put a high HP poke on top, evolve Luxray to pull up their future threat and let primape do the dirty work. Also, you can use luxray's attack and dump the 30 to chatot, and if there isn't anything fruitful in the top 4 on a subsequent turn retreat luxray and bounce chatot back into your deck.

Also, Lookers. If those top 4 don't have something nice, why not make them shuffle the deck and you can try again )

i hadnt really thought about luxray or lookers lol. i was so focused on the PoTF scans and generic deck stuff (roseannes, bebes, etc..) that i hadnt really thought about much from PL or RR other than machamp GL. i can -2 machamp GL -1 chatot +2-1 luxray GL lv X. i like it.

-2 night teleporter +2 lookers. lol. thats what ill try when i get some more time for testing it out.

any other comments you all can give me would be great!!

-2 machamp GL -1-0-1 Machamp SF C -2 night teleporter +2-1 luxray GL +3 lookers investigation.

I`ve thought of this combo aswell but it's not going to be consistent and very luck based. It's a fun support card for fast prizes at the beginning when your opponent still has a lot of pokes in his deck but it's not a primary attacker.

So to improve this deck I`d say add more Luxray GL 's and make the primeape and chatot lines thinner.
(better options are out there but I'm not going to put a lot of work for a future deck...)

i might do that, but if machamp and gengar become as popular as i think they will, then i think the high HP cards could become more common. but still, this is a deck made around a set that hasnt even been released yet. i still need to test it, (i can only do it on weekends at league, lol) so until i can do more of that, its not gonna be my MAIN concern, but i still want to keep the idea alive.

as for the, quick prizes in the start thing. im not gonna put their highest HPed pokemon on top every time. just the one i need to KO their active. if it should come down to a stage 1 or stage 2 getting discarded, im gonna go with the stage 2, mostly cuz i dont want them to have both. i think this deck has potential to be really good

This is just a fun speculation and design exercize at this point. I love conceptualizing decks and finding ways to make cards playable that are less obvious.

Luxray will give you a solid attacker thats fast enough for when Primape wouldn't get the job done.
Testing will show if he is strong enough to swing in the late game, or if this deck can finish games before that happens. A late game hitter may be needed. I'd first check for another stage 1 line of 2-2 something, or another strong SP that could play 1-2 copies.

But, think of all the high HP SP pokes that will be in decks, its a lot. Mid-late game your opponent will be holding several of these he can't play with a full bench and you send them back to the deck with lookers. I'd say get 4 lookers in here. Its going to be that versatile and key to the manipulation strat.

Thanks for posting this. Mankey is my favorite Pokemon, so I'd love to use him in a deck sometime. Hoepfully this will end up being a viable combo.

primape actually has good potential to become a donking deck, but its based more around luck than machamp is. you'd have to hope for high HP pokemon on top of opponents deck. but i have enough cards to make then shuffle their deck over and over, so it increases the chance of them getting a high HP pokemon on top.

I would definately add in some of the new supporter cards from the newest pack =-)
Just came back from worlds as pretty much a grinders player, and then as a volunteer for the rest of worlds =-)
after it was all said and done, I got my "Worlds Staff T-Shirt" signed by the art directors, and a whopping 3 SV boxes with 30 hours of work =-D well worth it.
But anyway......stick in like palmers, instead of 1 of the nights. would do wonders late game =-)

GOOD LUCK!!

thanks for all the input!

while Rare Candy is not the most fun to put in this kind of a deck, a 1-0-1 Dusknoir DP will be a godsend here. Put a high HP Pokemon back in your opponent's deck (like Dialga G or Kingdra) to increase the chance you nab one with Top Drop.
