If multiple KO's are taken, what order of actions should be expected ?
Should we discard all the KO'd Pokémon, then take all the corresponding prize cards ?
Should we discard a first KO'd Pokémon, then take its corresponding prize cards, then discard another KO'd Pokémon, taking its corresponding prize cards and so one ?Should we do something else ?
It may sound impactless on the game. However, ruling 1771 states that "When Barbaracle is KO'd it goes to the discard pile; Lost Block is no longer in effect, so your opponent gets to take the Prize card.".
So let's say a player has 4 Pokémon onto its bench and its opponent has Roadblock Sudowoodo in play. The ruling means that if Roadblock Sudowoodo is KO'd, it has to go the discard pile, so 5th bench place is restored, then prize card has to be taken, and let say that prize card is Jirachi Prism Star, it can be bench to take another prize card.
That interaction can be linked to our problematic, if there are two Roadblock Sudowoodo in play, and if these two Pokémon are KO'd. In fact, let's say the first prize card taken will be Jirachi Prism Star. If we discard all the KO'd Pokémon, and then take all the corresponding prize cards, 5th bench place will be restored and Jirachi Prism Star will be able to be benched to take another prize card. However, if we discard Pokémon and take the corresponding prize cards one by one, when the first Roadblock Sudowoodo is discarded, the second one is still in play, and so the bench is still limited to 4. This means Jirachi Prism Star can't be put onto the bench to use its talent.
I have not seen any ruling regarding that order between mutiple KO's and taking prize cards.
I also noted that ruling 270 is a bit disturbing according to prize order, since it says that "the opponent takes a Prize card, and then you search your deck for 2 Haunter and put them onto your Bench' when ruling 808 says that "Taking prizes is the last step when a Pokemon is knocked out".
