Its now lunch break

two more rounds before the cut.

my deck is letting me down or maybe not: I'm 2-2 against lightning playing a blue deck! Go Figure.

The OP brass are doing well. Pete is 4-0 and Dave 3-1

yeah less...

Pete finishes the swiss 4-2 and makes the cut at 7th place. 2nd Place Lars is playing electric, Pete is playing fighting. Lia is 8th also with lightning. The other five decks are all fire.

Pete is ahead 4-2 in game one...

dave finishes 11th at 4-2

----

My grapes are SOUR. .. I play against three lightning decks and beat two of them, In games I'm 3-2 against lightning with Samurott! Just how does that work. I don't get to play against fire all day and the room is full of fire. I draw so dead in games I should win and win games I should just auto lose ending 3-3.

Need to go and find out if Pete has made it to top 4....

Correction! Pet got third!

A great showing!

When did Pete learn to play Pokemon?

Hiw Pete learned the game

Both Pete and I gained all our knowledge on how to play at http://www.pokemontcg.com

He would log on early in the morning an I late at night, due to the time difference, we really didn't know how to play when we starred, but after a few days of practice against each other, and doing the trainer challenge
daily, we felt we where ready to start deckbuilding. While i stuck with the flaming deck, pete chose the more sturdy Elefant!. It resulted in first and third place. An if it hadn't been for Pete's jetlag and lack of sleep, it would be 1st and 2nd

try the most brilliant tcg tool at www.pokemontcg.com

log on now!! Before your friends beat you to it!

I only know my table in top 8 was
3 Fire decks
1 Lightning.

The other table I know for sure
1 Fighting
1 Lightning
(most likely 2 fire but I really don't know)

There was only fire and lightning on the higher level of the field.

Got bad luck like at almost every Professor Cup up to now (still no backpack :frown:). But at least my friend got 5th.

Conclusion - nice venue, nice people, small tournament, boring metagame.
Congrats to the winners!

Hi, here are some statistics. (I was a Judge at the event, I was the guy behind the computer, who did the announcements)

There were 34 players, playing those decks :

- 14 Fire
- 8 Lightning
- 3 Fighting
- 3 Water
- 3 Colorless
- 1 Grass
- 1 Dark
- 1 Psychic

Top 8 was 5 Fire, 2 Lightning, 1 Fighting.

Top 2 was Reshiram/Emboar vs Reshiram/Typhlosion : Reshiram/Emboar won.

I was expecting Donphan to be much bigger  Guess you really were better than me at predicting the metagame, Dexermon. ;)

I was expecting to see more Psychic, really. A very nice combo exists if ppl were willing to go with it...

Sure.
Standings (for top 8, I don't remember the rest) :

1) Jens R (Reshiram/Emboar)
2) Christophe C (Reshiram/Typhlosion)
3) Pete D (Donphan/Machamp)
4) Lia van B (Zekrom/Lanturn/Electrode)
5) Richard C (Reshiram/Typhlosion)
6) Lars A (Magnezone/Pachirisu)
7) Sascha G (Reshiram/Emboar/Typhlosion)
8) Patrick L (Reshiram/Typhlosion/Emboar)

Wait, I'm somewhat confused. I thought Pete won... but he's play Donphan, and I also heard Reshiram/Emboar won.

...Who won?

Yeah, that was my fault. I thought Pete won as well. I misunderstood Dave's post.

Pete had won that round.

Sorry.
