Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Project: Make Rayquaza C Slightly Playable For League

The title is ridiculous. The mission is as ridiculous as the title, making Rayquaza C playable.

I have no intention of taking him to a tournament, it would be stupid, I'd get laughed at by you super pro l33t pokemon players and lose every match.

I do however have an intention of using him in league to help earn me some Uxies.
That's what league is about for me, it's my Sunday escape from the busy rush of the music business.
So if you could please, help me come up with some ideas to make this guy slightly decent, I'd very much appreciate it.

The only idea I have so far is to use him with Banette PT or any other number of cards that discard from my hand and not draw more. (Regice, etc)

Don't come in here giving me the general Pokegym "BAD CARD IS BAD. PLAY THIS INSTEAD."

Actually, the title is probably one of the most easy things to accomplish, as it is just for league. =D
Night Teleporter, Electivire FB Lv. x are a couple combos.

Pokedex, Pokedrawers, Night Teleporters, Flint's Willpower, Bronzong G, and Banette are all really good ways to thin your hand/deck fast and power into a fully charged Rayquaza. Maybe play 2-2 rayquaza, and try and lead with Honch G to seek out SP Radars / etc. Just throwing out anything that comes to mind, here. Looker's is a nice card, too, since you can shuffle your hand back in and just draw 1 if you need to trim your hand down to nothing in order to Final Blast.

There was a raquaza c deck in my battleroads today. Took 4th and ran pretty well. Didn;t really get to see much save the fact that he ran LickyLicky C and Garchomp C. Used Claydol for draw too, so the idea of functionality really isn't impossible. It all comes down to how smart you are I guess.

lookers investigation to rid yourself of your hand. best if used after claydol. and staraptor fr x do add consistency seeing as you won't have a hand it gives the right supporters at the right time. good luck with this

Spent around 30 minutes arranging different ideas into one deck, trying to test out all sorts of different things, here's the very first thing I came up with

2 : Claydol, GE-15
Basic: 11
1 : Garchomp C, SV-60
3 : Honchkrow G, PL-77
1 : Chatot, MD-55
2 : Rayquaza C, SV-8
1 : Luxray GL, RR-9
1 : Shuppet, PL-92
2 : Baltoy, GE-60

TRAINERS: 26

4 : Fighting Energy, DP-128

One of the biggest problems I'm thinking I will have is the lack of Power Spray.
It's a nice trick all SP's should take advantage of.
Idea

Here's mine, I spent 2 minutes making it.

Pokemon: 17
3-1 Rayquaza C
2-2 Dodrio SV
1 Minun SW
1 Plusle SW
2 LickiLicky C
1 Bronzong G
1 Unown G
1 Mankey SV
1 Chansey MT
1 Blissey MT

Trainers: 32
2 PokeRadar/DuskBall/Quick Ball/Poke-Ball
3 Roseanne's
2 Great Ball
1 Luxury Ball
3 Bebe's Search
1 VS Seeker
2 SP Radar
2 Flint's Willpower
2 Night Teleporter
1 Palmer's
1 Switch
4 Cyrus'
3 Energy Gain
4 Poke Turn
1 Lucian's

Energy: 11
4 Water
4 Psychic
3 Fighting

Sableye/Flint's with a 3-1 Ray line maybe.
Banette also provides a machamp counter.
EPU + Ray C's first attack also induces lulz.

Blissey PT for Nurse Call and Return.

Bronzong G. 1 Lucian's.

Sableye SF + Flint's for early set up, yo.

Along those lines (i.e. attack for attachment)

I wonder if, instead of trying to KEEP the energy on the poke, you could just focus on powering it up.

Energy Pickup, Bronzong G, Electivire FB X , Flint / using JIRACHI RR start to double flint + attachment for turn

things like that.

You could also Night Teleporter and Lookers (for 1) to ATTEMPT to empty your hand.

No claydol.

You'd need a VS seeker + Staraptor FB X draw engine

This would imply heavy trainer search for easy burn (i.e. GREAT BALL and SP RADAR) to slap the pokes down quickly enough to have a chance.

Rogue Archtype's post makes sense, expecially with Jirarchi RR. With Sableye/ Jirachi, Staraptor and Cyrus's to collect supporters and Poygon2 and VS Seeker to burn through them - Flints can be very effective. Thats a possible 4 energy attachments per turn! ( Jirarchi, Flints from hand, Porygon 2 a Flints and manually attach. )
