I was watching the new PS3 commercials and they seem rather odd 2 me.

The exploding rubix cube made sense to me because it explained the pixels, but the baby one freaked me out.

can somebody explain the baby commercial to me??
 
It's symbolism at it's finest.

See, Sony is going to be soo far behind in the next-gen console race, that it is a mere baby when compared to the Hulk Hogans Nintendo and Microsoft.

At least...that's what it means to me.
 
It shows that PS3 has a hypnotic effect on babies, making them irrestsbale to it. It's the only way buisness can grow for them.
 
Its intended effect is clear and has been accomplished. You're all talking and thinking about the PS3. It doesn't have to make sense beyond that.

And really, you think PS3 commercials are weird? Have you ever SEEN a PSP commercial?
 
PSP commercials are at least somewhat entertaining, the PS3's are just wierd 0.o

I think the Rubix Cube ment that the PS3 can do what no one else can, it solved a Rubix Cube:lol:(actually, I can do it, Me> PS3)


The baby one, ummmmm, it makes dolls come to life?
 
Yeah, the doll commercial is freaky. But like how that other guy said, it;s meant to make you talk about the PS3, so they've succeded.

PSP commercials are awesome. They're funny.

They seem to be made for the japanese audience IMO, especially the baby one.... freaky..
 
Pfft. Sony is still new at this "throw something crazy out there to get people to talk about it." All Nintendo had to do was name their system. Sony has to spend millions on advertisement. They're so noobish. :D

nope, theyre the ones for the US. the rubicks cube one is the beginning of a longer video, in English, explaining the Cell processor IIRC. the baby one isnt from a tech info video, but there's another of the tech info videos as well (I think that one's talking about the capacity of Blu-Ray) , all done in that room

Wii Commercials=teh r0xx0rz

Mainly because Wii commercials actually make sense. Y'know, you see people playing the console instead of the console sitting there doing things it can't actually do. I can't see anyone ever buying a PS3 because they like the commercial. I can definately see people buying the Wii because of the commercial.

Wii would like to play.
Nintendo gets bonus points for advertising commercials on youtube's front page. They are just THAT brilliant.

Checking the comments for the commercial there seems to be overwealming positive feedback on the Wii. Of course, there are a few Sony fanboy trolls, but they're all retarded and can't spell (like all Sony fanboys). :)

Im going to get the wii, but why does everyone hate sony so much? I loved the PS2 and will eventuall get a PS3. Is it because the system is bad, or you just dont like sony?
