So we have all seen tournament tickets on PTCGO recently, most of us have already earned a few as login bonuses. Well, recently I participated in one of these tournaments. Of the three choices I had, I chose to join the theme deck tournament (and won, incidentally). I went to eat lunch afterwards, hoping to join another tournament when I had finished eating, but when I returned, there were no more tournament listings. I am curious about when these tournaments are scheduled, where the previous listings went (as it only took me 15 minutes to eat lunch when they were scheduled as open for the next hour or so) who creates/organizes them, and when we can expect to see them as a regular thing. I aim to make this a thread involving all questions and information about the new PTCGO tournament mode.
 
Update: I apparently don't pay very much attention. At the bottom of the login page, I just noticed under Game Information this notification: 5/16/2014: Next Tournaments Test: 5/18/2014 - 9am to 12pm PDT

At any rate, this thread can still be useful for any questions in the future.
 
Just for record purposes, the most recent tournament (6/2/2014) was 2 hours long from 2PM-4PM PDT.

So looking back at the history the dates of the tournaments:
5/18, 5/23, 6/2.
5 days in-between the first two.
10 days in-between the next two.
Considering after each tournament they have updated the system I would presume we're going to get an update within the next three days (6/5-6/7) followed by a tournament two days later. So next tournament will likely be 6/7->6/9? Purely speculation.
 
Tournaments Alpha Test #12 - June 6th @ 10:00AM PDT

The twelfth Alpha test of the Tournaments feature will occur on June 6th, from 10:00AM to 12:00PM PDT.

Format: Unlimited
Entry Requirement: 4 Tournament Tickets
Rewards:

1st – 2 boosters from the XY and Flashfire expansions
2nd – 2 boosters from the Flashfire expansion
3rd/4th – 1 booster from the XY expansion
1st – 8th – 8 Trainer Tokens
1st – 8th – 4 Tournament Tickets



Format: Unlimited

Rewards:

1st – 6 boosters from the XY and Flashfire expansions
2nd – 2 boosters from the XY and Flashfire expansions

FYI-double tournaments,prolly testing server capability,isn't a typo.
 
Just for future references. The tournament today was delayed by 20 minutes. Only 1 hour and 40 minutes (Estimated) were actually allowed for tournament time. I'll upload some footage later.

I must say this though, the hype for the tournament was vivacious! Hundreds in the lobby causing major lag over how hyped up they were!
 
Hopefully this is only for the test periods...
It doesn't make sense to expect everybody to check daily to participate in a tourney... unless they plan on running them daily...
 
I've seen that there is to be a tournament tomorrow at 1 PDT (at the login page), however in the tournament list, none are indicated. This was where I was looking for.

Ah no, they do not indicate the tournaments on the tournament page until it starts. You can see past tournament results for yourself (albiet not for everyone worldwide). Regardless I hope you are able to make it today at 1 PDT/4EST Pokealjovin!

I could be there for the start, just not the full 4 hours it will take :( Exactly during supper time... Not good for me on the East cost.

I ended up being able to play 3 different tournaments. I like that they made small (8 people) single elimination rounds, was fun!

Caught the last tournament. Time ended while we were setting up. Luckily they let us play out all three games.
Came in first.

I can't wait for these tournaments to become a regular thing. The prizes are great for free-to-play players like myself.

--UPDATE--

The next alpha test for tournament testing will occur from July 2nd at 10:00PM PDT to July 3rd at 5:00AM PDT. (about 30 minutes from this post) Tournament ticket fees and prizes are the same as the previous tests.
