Ya if im using a stage 2 tech, I make sure both the pokemon are in the deck when I mentor, and if 1 isnt I say dang, but I will still get the basic/Stage 1 or 2 with Nidoqueen incase I draw the other half as a prize.

My Top 3 techs so far(based on my metagame):
1. Lati-Lock
2. Ampharos SW
3. Shiftry ex CG

Can we get an explanation on the deck now that there's new cards in it? Amphros for example, as well as stantler over chingling, even though I understand the thought process there. I just made this deck card for card, but the current deck strategy is out of date.

EDIT* I mean to say, in the first post of the thread, the main post.

May you explain why the 1 Lake Boundary on the starting post? I think that Nidoqueen's attack will KO any 120hp +30weak psychics, won't it?

Also, is it okay to have only 1 nidoqueen d with your 2 tech lines?

Lastly, since Shiftry ex is now an alternative, it would be nice to see an updated match-up list that mentions amphy and mightyena.

Somebody mentioned Alakazam *, it would fit into a Nidoqueen d deck(ie search out EXes and LVXs to use their attacks, then night maintenace and repeat) but this isn't a queen d deck so shall not talk about it here.

you know just how i fairs against new decks, and the inclusion of stuff like oaks visit, ampharos (if its not already there), stantler, and aparently dusk ball, hows that working out?

^kyoober: Boundary was for against Machamp DPs since they have 130 HP. I personally dont think of Migtheyna as a tech.
MOP: not dusk ball.. duskull from SW..

lol

Im working on editing the article right now. I am going to say "1/1 tech line" in the decklist, and in the matchups part I will say which techs will make the matchup easier for you.
is everyone fine with that?

good job at winning anyways i say roseannes > mentor in this deck as energy is harsh (low) or as the 1/1 tech line use plusle and minun

Plusle and Minun are good in decks that expect their pokemon to die somewhat frequently. Such as Kricketune (80 HP on the stage 1s... Owch)
Is a Nidoqueen really going to ever be one shotted by anything in this format? Is a Dusknoir ever going to be one shotted? Is Mightyena ever even going to be active to get KOed?

Since you're not going to have pokemon dieing all over the place (unless you play against Garde LV.X, who Nidoqueen eats for breakfast, not to mention that Minun will likely hold the lowest HP on the table), Minun has very limited use in this deck. Very limited indeed. It'd seem more advantageous to place something like Ampharos (whom most of the time WILL benefit you), or Machamp (a viable attacker) in this deck.

Freakysmiley: Mentor is better because I need a bigger bench than you. Getting 2 Pokemon just won't cut it. About Plusle and Minun, what Rai said. If I was even going to consider using one of them, it would be Minun because of its amazing power.

DL24: Sure no prob.

Is it just me, or is this not the most complicated way to deal 90 damage?

I'd say if you really have a free 2 spots for TeCH, why not Gallade so you could at least one shot a few Blissey?

Why didn't you try to publish this? Or did you. I didn't see it in the feature article section...

Let me know if you want it up there. I can move it there if you'd like. I think this is good material. Just a couple of days and a few fixes and it looks very presentable.

Flareon: A deck doesn't have to always be complicated to deal a decent amount of damage. I'll try the Gallade out later and see how it does.

ryan: It got rejected. I was told the other DuskQueen article was better than mine. Also, if you can, sure I'd love to have it moved there. Just let me know what a need to fix : )

im trying a 1-0-1 Gardevoir SW in my list cause it seriously hurts the mirro-match, and it can help w/ set-up. also trying 1 lake boundary as well for the GG match-up (Gardevoir/gallade)

PM FS and tell him you're not intending for the article to go on the front page, but want it in the submissions sections so that you can add images and make it cleaner/more presentable. Tell him that I wanted to put your thread on the A&SS.

Right now it's all really blocky and hard to see. Honestly, if you want to see a very well-made article check out my Healix or DragTrode articles. Put up images for some of the important or interesting cards, use more bold/italics/underline to separate things. Use larger and smaller text where appropriate. Basically, make it as pretty and easy to read as possible.
