question about buck's training

will this card still add damage after the new rules on supporters go into effect? because the text reads that "as long as this card is next to your active pokemon, each of your active pokemons attacks does 10 more damage to the defending pokemon." wouldnt it get discarded right away with the new rules?

As the rules update notes, effects that refer to a Supporter being in play, not refer to it having been used that turn.
You get the +10 damage.
