So thinking around thursday, I remember there is a battle roads at guardian games on saturday, so my dad says he can take me. Friday i run my list by eleki, says it looks fine.
saturday, i wake up, pack, print out my decklist, get leftover pizza for breakfast and we head out.
I get there around 11:10. so i fill out the registration sheet and mess around with Robin, Chris, Paul, Olliver, Riley, Eleki and all of them. Pairings are up.
Round 1 Randy vs Luke L
I set-up 2 jumpluffs and claydols and stuff. I just sweep and keep up a constant 2 jumpluffs. I won
1-0
So after first round me, eleki, chris and paul go outside and we take my shocker that looks like gum.
Eleki puts it in some water and stuff and gets it all wet. then he asks us to pull it. of course we say no.
Then we get side off and he gets the batteries off. then yeah. fun times...
Round 2 Randy vs Olliver B playing sablelock
Again I set up 2 jumpluffs and stuff. i get shaymin, so its incredibly hard to ko me. I win

So during lunch, riley gets this huge 44 oz soda from taco del mar, and me, eleki, luke, and some other people spend a 10-20min time period trying to hit the soda thats on a ledge on a high wall, with a nerf football. when rileys mom comes out, 2 mins later pairings go up.
Round 3 Randy vs Paul Lamb with some deck he made
I have unown q lone start, he goes first with azelf la and rainbow energy. FML

Round 4 Randy vs Zack I think with Flyphan
so every time i make a good play, this kid has to say "I hate you", or "die", or whatever. me being some what mature, i just ignore him and play through. There was one time where I helped him.
He had phaypan or w/e active with expert belt attached, he shows me hes got donphan prime. I tell him evolve, because it may help him. Told him he can two hit me, and then id be screwed or whatever. but i didnt know i had shaymin x still in play.
but i end up winning

So my brother ryan has to be all like, "Randy, ima organize your bender" so i let him or whatever.
Round 5 Randy vs Chris S with HoPe (Chrisrocks is his pokegym name)
So being a good friend of chris's, I know hes a great player and that HoPe is a very hard deck to beat. But i enter the game thinking to myself to stay calm and do my best.
So its a long game and I cant remember big details, but he made some big misplay i guess according to eleki that lost him the game.

So im 99.9% sure im going to make it into top cut. i spend the time playing Stone Fluxx with Riley, Chris, and other people. It was a good laugh and a very enjoyable game to play.
Top 4 vs Devon with LuxChomp.
So I know this kid isnt too skilled and that luxchomp is a very close or even match-up.
So I'm not sure how the whole thing goes. But yeah i won
Top2 vs Eleki with HoPe.
Being my best friend and being one of the best players in oregon. I know im in for a long and tough game.
I take a break inbetween top4 and top2 to eat some food and stuff.
So here we go
Game 1: I get set up, and in this game i lucksac so hard. that im laughing. so the game gets real close, i have 1 prize he has 6. But he starts the whole bring up and burn annoyance that he did in one of our fun games. So im stuck with not much to do and i am low on energy. But i bring up shaymin level x and flower aroma his mr.mime. Which turns into 15 turns of stalling. By then I cant do anything and i just sit back and watch him take all 6 prizes.
But it was a funny and very enjoyable game. i definably learned from
it.
Game 2 : with like 25 mins left, im sitting in my chair feet moving. I try my best to get turn 1 pluff. mistakbley wasting 2 candies and 3 SSUs, to no pluff. But i get it turn 2 and i start to take prizes. once im down to 3 prizes, to starts the blaziken, drag and burn thing. I just am restless. I have not won a single tournament ever, and this is the closest i have came. but time was called when he ko'ed my shaymin x and active uxie.
GOOD GAME!
So i'm a little relived its over and glad that i did so well. I was proud of myself. I have actually improved a great deal since last spring BRs. where i never top cut. Eleki clearly was the best player.
Maybe not in SOTG. nah, hes a good guy and one of my best friends.
I am glad i got to play with a good friend in top 2 than some bratty kid.
I open my 4 packs and pull Rare Candy, Steelix prime and lanturn prime. Good 4 packs.
Then my dad takes me,my bro, and since eleki has no ride, eleki home.
