Alright, the point of this deck is fairly simple. Rattata/Raticate is there for early damage. Rattata is your ideal starter, though its 30 HP and weakness to fighting could be a problem with Riolu. This whole deck is weak to fighting, but thats why the point is to hit em fast. Once a number of Raticate die, you send in either a scrambled Weavile or Darkrai LV X to clean up. It also helps that Raticate has free retreat because if you need to, you can retreat Raticate with a dark on it, and Weavile's attack will do more.

1. Darkrai only gives extra damage to Dark Pokemon.
2. Darkrai makes Basic Dark Special Dark, not Dark attacks do 10 more fopr each Dark in play.

1. I know. Did I ever claim it did anything else? I never said it gives Raticate's attack any extra damage.
2. I know, did you even read Weavile's attack?

Hi Skull Bash,

Consider to cover the weakness a little more and have some means abuse Darkrai Lv. X beside Weavile. Honchcrow would be a nice starter line. Check out the deck suggestion below.

DARKNESS SWARM

POKEMON (18):

2 Darkrai Lv. X (beatdown)
4 Honchcrow (beatdown)
4 Murkrow (beatdown)
3 Sneasel (evolution)
3 Weavile (beatdown)
2 Darkrai (beatdown)

TRAINER (27):

3 Team Galactic’s Bet (disable)
3 Night Maintenance (enable)
4 Strenght Charm (enable)
4 Celio's Network (search)
3 Prof. Oak's Visit (draw)
3 Steven's Advice (draw)
4 Plus Power (enable)
3 Holon Mentor (draw)

ENERGY (15):

4 Special Darkness Energy
7 Darkness Energy
4 Sramble Energy

MAIN IDEA:

Murkrow is the idea starter. He can be used with Honchcrow to hide behind a flock which attacks at zero costs. This enables the deck to fuel Weavile and Darkrai as cleaners in addition to one or two Honchcrow. Abuse Night Maintenance and Mentor to mantain a stable flock.
Beside the fact that this works well with the low cost starter attacks it also covers the weakness and sticks to the main theme. Furthermore, the hidden Honchcrow on the bench can also abuse Darkrai.
