I went to the Regionals in London yesterday with this deck....

Pokemon:17

2 x Team Aqua's Walrein
3 x Team Aqua's Electrike
3 x Team Aqua's Manectric
2 x Team Aqua's Chinchou
2 x Team Aqua's Lanturn
2 x Team Aqua's Mighteyena ( Uncommon )
3 x Team Aqua's Kyogre

Trainers:23

4 x Archie
3 x Switch
3 x TV Reporter
2 x Proffessor Oak's Research
2 x Potion
2 x Fisherman
2 x Oracle
2 x Crystal Shard
2 x Team Aqua Conspirator
1 x Nurse
1 x High Pressure System

Energy: 20

8 x Water
8 x Electric
2 x Darkness
2 x Aqua Energy

First Round

I played a boy with a half Team Aqua deck and half Altaria/Raichu. He won turn 2.
I only got 1 basic, Chinchou. I had a real problem at getting out Basics, all through the tournament.

Second Round

I played the 'to-be' winner of the 11-14 age bracket. ( Daniel Baker ) He had a brilliant deck consisting of Typhlosion EX, Salemance and Kingdra EX. Unfortunately for him, he couldn't get all 3 set up and i won.

3 points

3rd Round

I can't remember much but i can remember him playing natu's and xatu's. Anyway, i won pretty easily.

6 points

4th Round

I played Steven K, the leading player,
He played a Shiftry deck. I was winning at one point, and looking like i might actually beat him but when he started attacking my bench with Shiftry i knew i was going to lose and i did.

5th Round

I playe dDharyl Wilson. He played an awesome Team Magma deck. He set up really fast and he had 2 Team magma's Aggron fully set up ( one on bench and one in play ). I lost.

Then, the top 8 played a cut thing. Quarters, semi's and final.
I was in the top 8

Quarter Final

I played the same boy i had played in the first round. But it was a slightly different story. I still lost. But i played much better and we were the last match left in the Quarters, by about 10 mins.

So i got to the top 8, which i am pleased with but please could someone please help with my deck. I still want to keep it fully TA, or mostly TA. :D

how about this you only play 9 basic so you have trouble getting set up right?
-2 potion
-1 nurse
-1 hps
+4 dunsparce
you wont need heal if you get set up fast enouigh and you play 3 switch so playing hps will only help your opponent i.e. all the blaze variants and swampert variants

That was the real problem. Basics. :D

I'll take the potions out but not the Nurse i have a really good combo with Power Shift and Nurse that nearly one me a match. :)
Actually i played Team Aqua hideout, sorry, i made a mistake. Dunsparce is a good idea. Please can you, or someone post a decklist with the changes in, with my comment taken in mind. :D

Thanks. :)

If you manage to squise in 4 Dunsparce and 2 Mr Briney. You can at least cut out the Nurse, as your Power Shift combo still will work wonders (If Electrike is under Manetric or in you hand that is...).

Mr Briney is good in this deck b/c there are no ex'es + he can free up bench space if your Dunsparce is just taking up space, and it can act as a switch in a crisis to get you active out of the way.

Play more basics (at least 10 like below) & Aqua ball! Like this
4 team aqua’s kyogre
3 team aqua’s manetric

It would but you dont need sparce. Aqua Ball gets Basics out fast.
Sparce gets in the way for Manetrics power.
This deck is about moving energy around where you need it.
Also if you start with Sparce you need to have 4 Pokemon cards in play to use Kyogres attacks.
This deck needs to be all aqua

I could go on...
Psycodad may be able to ad more.

A variant of this has brought a trophy and a trip to someone I know.

Thanks Annaisarich! :D

Anymore advice or fixes before i try and make a list with what Annaisarich said and Psycodad said. ;)

yes, you should have read Pokémon World before the Regional as I'd printed Psychodad's deck in it (with credit too) =)
