Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Reshiboar VS. Reshiphlosion

Electrode

New Member
My younger cousin who is eleven (seniors, I think) Is going to Cities with me this weekend and he's trying to decide between Reshiboar and Reshiphlosion.

Right now, he combined the two but the deck was a little hard to set up because of two stage 2 lines. I suggested he should probably stick with one or the other, but honestly, I don't know which one is more favorable. I would think Reshiphlosion.
Opinions?

My personal advice is to go with Reshiphlosion, for the very reason that your cousin is 11. From my experience, a Reshiphlosion deck is a lot more straightforward to play successfully, and doesn't rely on getting "comeback" wins as much. You're right that fitting in both Emboar and Typhlosion is overkill, so stick with one or the other. If you do end up choosing Reshiboar, keep in mind that cards like Magnezone and Rayquaza-Deoxys Legend could really help the deck. A Twins engine also works wonders in certain Emboar builds, as well as Pichu.

I'm fairly sure he runs 3 or 4 twins in his mixed deck. Honestly, the deck isn't half bad. I was thinking Reshiphlosion as well, but I'm hoping he has enough Typhlosion primes because I traded both of mine to him for his first deck.

I would honestly test and prepare both decks, with two seperate lists, and then scout (as a master) to see what the seniors are playing in the day which will help you decide which deck your cousin should play lololol
