I've only started getting into Pokémon competitively during the beginning of this month. My friends recommended that I build a mono fire deck with Reshiram and Emboar (since it's apparently...good). So with access to any and every card, I went ahead and created what I thought might best fit my play-style.

I'm sure you veterans already know how this deck runs but in case you don't; Ninetales is used for constant drawing power to stock up on Fire Energy. With Emboar's Inferno Fandango Ability, I can instantly attach all the Fire Energy onto Reshiram and / or Emboar (a.k.a. Bad Boar) in order to quickly KO anything (except Donphan Prime and Tyranitar Prime 'cause they suck). Trainer and Supporter Cards such as Energy Retrieval, Interviewer's Questions and Fisherman all help me maintain momentum by recycling the Energy Cards from the Discard Pile back onto my hand.

This deck had gone through many changes before it turned into what it is now. I recently threw in a bunch of PlusPower because I hated not being able to KO my opponent's Reshiram, Zekrom and other Pokémon with Reshiram. PlusPower's 10 extra damage seems to make a huge difference but I'm not sure if it's necessary in the deck. I went 2 - 3 during Battle Road (and also my first Pokémon TCG tournament ever) a couple weeks ago losing to Yanmega, Vileplume and Gothitelle ('cause Trainer lockdown is ridiculous). I'm pretty comfortable with my deck but I still feel that there might be something I'm missing, or something I'm doing wrong. What do you guys think of my build? Is it solid? Is it obscure? Should I change and / or add something? Any help is appreciated.

The biggest issue is your lack of draw outside of Ninetales. I've also found PlusPower useful in this, but one seems to be enough with Bad Boar in the deck. You're also running more energy than you really need to, even with multiple Ninetales in the deck.
- 1 Vulpix
-2 PlusPower
-1 Engineer's Adjustment
-1 Prof Junpier
-1 Interviewer's Questions
-3 Fire
+1 Collector
+1 Rare Candy
+2 Junk Arm
+1 Revive/Flower Shop Lady
+3 PONT/Cheren/Sage's
+1 Fisherman

Those changes should make the deck a bit more consistent. As for the choices with the / in them, try each one out and see which one you like best for your style. I prefer Flower Shop Lady over Revive if I can't fit them both in, and PONT over the other draw cards in this as it can help you from decking out late game as well as getting you the cards you need early on.
