Richmond, VA Regionals Nov 12 and 13 in Doswell, VA

i see that there are hotels on hotels.com and priceline.com in the $36-37ranges per night. has anyone tried the name your own price offer on priceline and been successful?

just booked. any side events going on friday night or sunday during the top 16?(if we don't make the cut)
 
Well, we don't have the venue until Sat AM, so anything Friday night will be at the Amelia league starting around 4 PM..but that is a pretty fair shake from where most travelers will be staying. I'm playing it by ear on Sunday, since it will depend on the turnout for the VG. Depending on how many tables are occupied by VGers, we may set up a side event or two. But, just like the TCG gets Sat priority, the VG will get Sun priority.
 
That would be awesome if there was a side event sunday. I guess just keep it updated on here in case there in one.
 
Yeah, KD pretty much closes up shop for the season after Halloween. But, there will be a Christmas/Craft show going on in the other Hall at the Meadow Event Park for anyone interested. It's also a drop-dead gorgeous place just to hang out. Secretariat was raised on these grounds and they've done a great job with the whole area.
 
A good distance unfortunately. Amelia is SW of Richmond and the regionals venue is due N of the city. I'd guess an hour.

Mapquest.com calculates 1h:11m for the 60 mile trip from Amelia to Doswell, but there's plenty of places to stop for dinner afterwards on the way back. Folks staying closer in to Richmond will have a shorter trip. I'll pass along to the Amelia league leader that there may be a few extry faces on 11/11.

Viperoh's Hobby Shop was still open the last time I swung by there, so it may be an option as well if you just need tables and chairs. (League ended there in September.)
 
Any one up for a Rochester Booster Draft Tournament on Friday Night/Sunday?
I would need to find somewhere to have it though if on Friday Night.

I'm bringing a box of Emerging Powers. I might try to get a box of Noble Victories or BW too.

Will be hard to get a box of NV since it doesnt release until the 16th.
