Event begins and Packs open at 2:30

(...or, if you're one of our regular weekly tourney/League players,
the morning event is at 9am and open packs at 9:30)

*Note: you may come to either time, but you must let me know in advance
so I can get you on 'the list' to secure a seat for you.

How much is it? $25
which includes the packs or deck you use to play in the tournament plus additional packs at the end of the tourney,
PLUS a pack of exclusive Card Sleeves AND a commemorative Promo Card for the event.

And as usual, we will have both the Main Event as well as a Theme Deck Challenge

I'm not sure. I'll know a little closer to the date. Right now, dates are just swimming through my mind. I think the 9th is the week before graduation, and would probably be the only day.......
 
Im definitly am coming to this one. This is will be my first time back coming to a Pokemon Tournament since I havent played the game for over a year!

Oh boy oh boy! I'm definitely excited! Everything got here today and now I can't wait til the 9th! Be sure to pm me or email me with your name if you're coming so I can get you on the Preregistered list. They informed us that there is a shortage of sleeves, and although I should have enough for everyone, those who are on the Preregistered list will be guaranteed getting them before those who are not. Only takes a minute to drop me an email or PM, so don't miss out! (besides, I need to see how many cookies I need to bake! :thumb:)

Yep, sometimes due to circumstance we end up on the same day. We were all kinda down a day, with Mother's Day on Sunday. I know I wasn't going to run mine on Mother's Day :) Say hi to Jimmy for me! I know people will have fun wherever they go, just so they go!
 
Well I hope you can make it! You'll get to see the new gameroom at TIY since the last time you were there. I like it much better. More roomy and airy :)

Ok everyone...Don't forget to email me or PM me if you're planning on coming so I can get you on the Preregistered list. Why preregister? Well, those 'on the list' will be guaranteed to get the special sleeves... and also, as for the Theme Deck Challenge, the Challenge players will get to choose their decks based on their number on 'the list' (first player signed up gets to pick their deck first, and so on). So if you're planning on coming, just let me know!

Oh, don't be concerned if the store isn't open when you get there for the morning one... they actually open at 10am, but they're letting us in the gameroom at 9 so we can still have enough time to hold both the morning and afternoon events there. (You'll see the new gameroom as you walk by the big window from the parking lot)

Also, if you'd like to join in the fun, but can't afford to pay for it, please contact me! I've got a few players that really need to have some players to play for them, as they can't make it themselves for various reasons. So please contact me!

And also don't forget, if you bring someone new, you'll get a bonus booster pack! So load up the car and bring all your friends to the party! It's gonna be a blast!
 
I'm excited for this weekend now. I hope everyone hits up a prerelease, and I am excited to be on the staff for what is bound to be another great Rockford event.

I'm excited to get up at 6:00 to drive down there... oh wait. Waking up and driving aren't the exciting parts? I'll make them exciting. :p
 
EVERYTHING'S exciting about a Prerelease! Heck, I'll still be baking at 1am, and I'm still excited!
I see quite a few new people on the list this time. I think they're going to be pleased when they see how much fun a Prerelease is! They'll be hooked!

It was a great day! I know that Quinn D. won seniors in the afternoon and Cody K. (my brother) won masters in the afternoon. It was a great, but long, day. :)

Rising Rivals is a GREAT set and VERY game changing.
 
What a great day! We had two wonderful Prereleases, both were a lot of fun! Here's the breakdown for ya!

We had a total of grand 84 players for both events combined.

We gave away a lot of door prizes at each event, including a free pass to our next Prerelease... Ken G won it in the morning and Toby won it in the afternoon

Overall I think everyone had a wonderful time! I want to than my Judges, Keny, Derrick and Jordan for all their help! And thanks to Keith and Christina for all the fun card packs they put together for door prizes! That was really nice of you!

I've got videos from the event up at my Youtube channel if you're interested and I'll have my pics up a little later today.

Also.... It was different not having Devin with us for this one... I was told last night after talking to him on the phone that I can now finally tell you all why he wasn't with us for this event, and won't be at TIY for the next several weeks... Devin was asked to be the Head Referee at the Pokemon Video Game World Championships... yesterday while we were at the Prerelease, he was in Seattle at the first Regionals... (see him in the striped referee shirt?) So he'll be the Head Ref at all the Regionals... Seattle, San Francisco, Phoenix, Dallas, Philadelphia, Nashville, then he'll be at Nationals, and Worlds too. Wish I could have told you all yesterday, but he said we had to wait to announce it until after the first event.

So anyway, hope all of you had a good time! I think it was a really fun day for everyone! I know I had a great time! We had new players, we had some returning players we haven't seen in a long time, *coughrickycough* *coughgarycough* *coughcodycough* it was great! I even was delighted to see a family from one of our favorite restaurants come and join us, after we were talking about the upcoming prerelease at dinner last Sunday. The owner's daughter was asking about it for her nephew, so we told her all about it and by gosh she showed up! Always good to talk about your upcoming events, even when you're out to dinner, because you just never know who's listening and might show up!
