Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Rival

The Supporter, right?

Rival is not your best option. Allowing your opponent to chose what 3 cards you get from 5 really hurts, since they will generally choose cards that will not benefit you.

if they wanted to make it a good card should let you search your deck for 5 different cards, then your opponent takes them and decides which 3 to let you keep and discard the rest, it would still be a so so card but at least more fun than the current version

no, cuz then you just pick 4 rare candys and somehting else so you are guaranteed to get at least one rare candy

Well, I still think Rival is go......okay, yeah, I couldn't finish that with a straight face.

It would be less of a joke if the shuffle was removed (the other two cards stay on top of the deck).

Rival is possibly the worst draw card ever. I might be wrong... But i've played against someone this year who played rival... and i would not give them anything they needed. It feels like you have your opponent in a forsight lock, but its their supporter...

Rival lock: Don't let it happen to you.

Even n00bs knows it's junk. o_O

Says something about how bad it is..

I wish that were true... But I see n00bs that play it :nonono: Sometimes I try to help them understand what makes it inferior -but they just wont listen :nonono:

On the other hand, it is great at a PreRelease, but that is about it

Now if only the card let you pick from the 5 cards, then It would be broken :thumb:

if you got to choose the pile that goes into your hand this card would be good :-x

Yes, and we know what happened to that card in Magic when you get to choose which pile to keep and which pile goes  But yes, Rival is a card that you should not let your friends (heck, even your enemies) play in Constructed because it is that horrible ...
