Hi, i'm trying to learn how to RNG and to find my SID i need to have a legit shiny. I have NEVER found one so I was wondering if the lake of rage red gyrados would count for RNG to find my SID? does anyone know?:confused:
 
From what I know it's like a chained shiny. Which I don't think works.

I'm trying to learn it also, but I don't get it.
 
ya its kinda confusing. I have everything for it except for the shiny. its extremely annoying.:nonono:
 
I have a shiny, but it has all these Evs which I don't know about..

Are you trying in HG/SS? Cause I heard it's harder.
 
i have a solution for you. I heard that you can use alot of the ev lowering berries to return it to its original number.
 
Oh yeah, I remember that, thanks. It's just I have so little of those berrys. That and I'm wondering if like when they level up and get like a huge bonus to the stat, can you still reduce the Evs?

Anyway, if you haven't gotten the Eevee yet, I think there's an easy way of getting a shiny one of it. But not sure if that would count to your PID though.
 
No, you can check Youtube. My friend got it to work. He won't give me link, and I'm to lazy to find it myself.
 
You can always get rid of EVs regardless of how you got them / how many you had. the berries will reduce the respective EV in a stat to 100 if it is anything over 100. if it is at or below 100 it will take away 10 EVs per berry.
 
I have some of the rng stuff down, but I got to get a wild shiny first. I do not know how to rng in hg/ss yet, as I do not know how to advance the frames. The shiny Gyro to my understanding is "pre-set"- thus not wild. Even though you can SR to get the nature/personality, the "shiny" is proggied in. The SID is for "random, wild encounter" which falls under that catagory in the generator "call" numbers. That is the best way I can answer that for you. I can abuse in platnium, (for the most part without the wild shiny I have yet to encounter)but not yet in hg/ss, as the coin flip and "pokie tap" apps are not programed in hg/ss to advance the frames.

The Lake of Rage Gyarados will not work because it is not a "normal" shiny. Normal Shinys are shiny because they are linked to your individual SID. That's why you can use several of them to find your individual SID. The Lake of Rage Gyarados is NOT linked to your SID. It's made to be shiny on ANYONE'S game.

Does anyone have a good tutorial or guide on how to RNG for D/P/Pt that does not require the use of AR or the like?
