Rock Band 2 Vs. Guitar Hero: World tour

I think they both sound pretty kewl, but I think RB2 is gonna be better cause from what I read GH4 is nice, and will have some neat new features, but RB2 is gonna have more new stuff plus I've read a few of the new songs which I'm realy excited about. Plus GH4 is gonna copy RB with drums and singing. Personaly I think they shoud just focus on the giutar.

But then how do they compete with Rock Band? Everyone's going to get tired of "Just Guitar" and want to play some other things or want to play with 3 friends opposed to 1 at a time. And Rock Band will get better in time, if Guitar Hero doesn't have drums and a mic, then Guitar Hero will be no competition.


2 boats show up to a race. One has a paddle, and one doesn't. Who is going to win?


And so what if they copy Drums and Mic? Rock Band copied their whole Game Genre.

The GHWT guitar has this heat-sensing slider down on the neck that's basically used for the song creation mode. Their drums actually look like a real drum set with 5 pads and a foot pedal. I haven't seen their mic yet, though.

the mic is gonna be the same as any other mic (rock band, karaoke)

yea the drums will have 5 pads and to activate star power you have to hit both the cymbals (orange, yellow) and the harder you hit the drum pads the louder the noise will be in the game the guitar will have 10 frets now instead of 5, like the rb one

well thats the only picture i could find and it looked pretty real to me oh well nothings for sure we'll just have to wait and see

Yeah, I went to Guitar Hero's website, and the 3D image of the Guitar isn't up yet. But the shaded out Guitar looks EXACTLY like it.

My PLAN is to buy Guitar Hero and get all the instruments, then buy just the Rock Band Disc (I like the standard GH drums better but I like RB's tracklist more)
 
But remember that Rock Band is also marketing a full out (MIDI?) electronic drum set for $300, which I think will probably be the best out of the various drum sets. Game Informer source.

Yeah, that may be true.. But as previously stated, why not just buy a real Drum set for that much. These games are already expensive, there's a point where it's just insane to shell out the much money for a single game.

I mean if you're a Sponsored player that's one thing. But we're just average gamers.
 
I hate the way that guitar hero aren't selling drums separately cuz i have about 3 guitars at home and a mic from rock band and i was hopping to buy the game and drum set saving me a bunch of money but who knows maybe activision will come to their senses

According to GI, it really *is* a full drum set. It's also compatible with RB.
 
My concern is that I buy the $300 drum set, and then they come out with a brand new set the year after that is so much better. That RB has changed their drum set once, they will probably change it twice. That alone will stop me from buying it.
