:biggrin: Hey everybody! It's that time again!! Time for some more fun in Rockford!! :biggrin:

Time to mark your calendars for the

Rockford City Championships!

Saturday Jan 10th
at the North Suburban Women's Club
6320 N 2nd St Rockford,IL 61111
Located about 4 blocks North of E.Riverside on N. 2nd St(Hwy 251).
(On the corner across from Big Lots mini-mall.)​

Registration will open at 9am... The tourney will begin at approximately 10am.
Last call for turning in Decklists for Round 1 will be at 9:45, after that, you can still enter, but you'll start in Round 2.


Decklists will be required... you can print them out ahead of time with this pdf file, or fill them out there. Just be sure to allow enough time if you plan to fill them out there so you're not late to get entered!


I'll have more details posted here shortly, and always be sure to check our website for ALL the complete details for everything you need to know about this event!

Got the Women's club again, eh? Good job! (Not that I don't like the store as well!) I'll probably be there, but I'm not sure yet...

It'll be great fun! It's been quite a while since we've been able to have everyone together at the same time at the Women's Club again! I can't wait!

Camille, you know we'll be there for sure! Might even try to make one the next day. It's always fun making weekends out of tournaments.

Can't wait, if ya need help again just let me know....I always have free time during the events.

The one on the next day in Huntley, IL is less than 45 minutes away from this one. My dad used to work in Sun City there. Not a bad place, really...
 
Hey just a reminder everyone! January is approaching! Be sure to mark down the 10th on your calendars to come join us in Rockford at the Women's Club! It's been a while since we've booked an event there, so it will be great to have all our Pokemon friends all gathered at once again (instead of split up into 2 events at the store for the past few Prereleases). I'm looking forward to having a great day with all of you! AND I put in a good word with the man upstairs for some decent weather too! *fingers crossed* :) Hope to see you there!
 
The Starship Rantoul, a relatively small but very agile Intrepid Class starship, has been docked for some routine maintenance. No worries. Captain Doshi has been temporarily assigned as the Forth in Command of the Starship Rockford, one of the most highly decorated Soverign Class starships in the known galaxy.

My assignment begins on stardate 29011.0, and continues for two months until either stardate 29031.4 or stardate 29032.1, depending upon the needs of Captain Poke Mama and the needs of the Federation.

The stardate thing isn't too difficult to figure out. Just work through it for a minute, and you'll notice exactly what dates those are. Yes, the Star Trek-style posts for Judging are going to continue. I just enjoy them too darn much!!!
 
Will be there, Jason has a B-Ball game at until about 8-9:15. Thus I will probably be there for second round.
 
Looks like there will be several from the Western Wi/ eastern MN crew showing up. Doubt i will, but good luck to those that do go.
 
Awww Troy I'll miss you buddy! *sad face* But will be great to see everyone else! I love the 'family reunion' feeling we always get at our big events! I'm pretty excited! Rob, we'll keep a seat warm for ya!
And ya Hyp, will be great having you with us! I think you'll get a kick out of it!

I'm also looking for helpers after the main event, to help get tables/chairs moved back, random cleanup, that sort of thing. I can't do so much because of my back problems, but I'll have packs for serious helpers.
Also, depending on attendance, I might be interested in some additional Judges, perhaps for side events.

Also, TIY will have booster packs, decks and sleeves for sale there... so bring some money for some packs! We'll also have soda, chips and snacks there, or feel free to bring a lunch if you want. There are also a bunch of fast food places within a few blocks up the street, like Arbys, Subway, Macdonalds, and such.
 
We're getting the sled dogs ready for the trip in the morning. Gotta love this great Upper-Midwest weather.
 
Ya, you know... I guess it just wouldn't be a city Championship without some sort of weather drama *rolls eyes* Would be nice, just once, to have perfect weather tho! *dreams*

Oh well, for those who brave the weather, whatever it may be, to come join us in Rockford, I'll greet you with a smile and some brownies this time. Maybe we should have some hot chocolate! lol

First time making the trip down to Rockford for a tournament, really looking forward to it. Can you recommend a good, cheap hotel in the area?

Also, does anybody know the address of the Tournament Venue in Huntley the next day? Midwest Pokemon has a name but not an address and I want to make sure I have it correct.
