Ok, the event has been sanctioned, and I've booked the Women's Club, so plenty of room for everyone this time! Bring your friends! Bring your neighbors! Let's all have a blast!

Mysterious Treasures Prerelease - Rockford IL

When? Sunday Aug 12
What time? 11:30 Registration/12:30 begin opening packs
How Much? $25 Includes 6 boosters +2 more at the end OR a Theme Deck + 4 boosters at the end. Plus bonus goodies of course!

Where? North Suburban Womens Club

You can enter either the Main event, for the more experienced who want to build your own deck, OR enter the Theme Deck Challenge playing one of the preconstructed Theme Decks against others playing the Theme Decks. We'll have both options to choose from, as usual. Lots of Door prizes, a Side Event for MT prizes to follow, good times for all!! And don't forget to bring your Diamond & Pearl DS games too! We might even have another D&P GB Tourney too!

You can Preregister for the Prerelease by posting, sending me a PM or email, or you can call TIY at 815-633-0330.

PLUS- Bonus pack for ya if you bring someone who's never been to one of our Premiere Events before! If they're new to the game, the Theme Deck Challenge will be perfect for them... if they want to play in the main event and make their own decks, you can always bring them to TIY on Saturdays to get some practice! So feel free to bring some friends to join in! It's going to be a lot of fun, cuz we always have a great time at our TIY events! You won't want to miss this one! Now I've just got to decide which cookies I should make for you all!

And to celebrate our friends at Worlds in Hawaii... wear or bring me anything Hawaiian... aloha shirt, lei, flowers, anything Hawaiian (be creative) and I'll enter you in a special raffle for 5 booster packs!

Crapping hecksticks. The weekend I go to visit my parents is the weekend this goes on. This pretty much means (in Soup Nazi voice) "No Sleeves For You!"
 
(lol.. totally gets the Soup Nazi reference) So very sorry man. It's the weekend of Worlds too... but I'm figuring there are a lot of regulars in the area who'll still be around. Pretty pricey to get to Worlds this year to try to grind in. I still think our peeps would rather it be on the first weekend available. Besides, gives us something cool to do while the others are jammin' at Worlds!

Awww thanks! Maybe I should send some cookies along with you for the long flight! :wink: We'll take pictures here of ours and put them up at our wesite for ya to see... be sure to take lots of pics there for us to see too!!

Well, I sent Jared, Troy and Alan at Pastimes an email as soon as I found out the Women's Club was booked all the other dates. Oh well. Sometimes, as hard as we all try to coordinate these events for you all to be able to attend as many as possible, we're often at the mercy of our venue's availability. :frown: Trust me, I'd much rather we all be able to be on different days. It's no fun to have to pay for the venue and then have a low turnout. But we just do the best we can given the info we have at the time we have to book things.
