hey! i'm just looking for some thoughts or suggestions for a decklist i've been thinking up. i asked one of my pokepals  to help & he has quite a bit. i'm so thankful! now i'm looking for additional tweaking. keep in mind, this is my first post to any community/forum with regard to pokemon tcg, so be kind!

thinking back through my relatively short history with pokemon, i've always loved the idea of a tangrowth deck, as tangrowth is one of my favorite pokemon. i've attempted several different decks, trying to include the card, however it's been very, very, very unsuccessful. i'm hoping this time around, things will be different.

below is the decklist along with some of the reasons why i selected certain cards, feel free to let me know what's good, what's bad, & where it needs improvement...

3-3 roserade UL
2-2-1 tangrowth lv. x
2-1 landmin lv. x
3-1 uxie lv. x
1-1 manectric
1 unown q

i included roserade because honestly, it's pretty BA. "power blow" is very similar, if not uncanny, to the attack "grind" from SF tyranitar, which is one of the decks i used prior to building this. the poke-power, "energy signal" it pretty decent, either confusing or poisoning the opponent, & i'm sure it will throw a wrench into things at one point or another. tangrowth lv. x gives you the opportunity to roll each turn to potentially remove 4 damage counters with "healing growth", also allowing you to take as many :grass: energy from the discar. the tangrowth card from arceus has swallow up, which is so unfair, but amazing. claydol is bouncing soon, so i figure i should just replace it now to get accustomed to a deck without it. shaymin lv. x with "thankfulness" is a no brainer for any grass deck, boosting roserade's HP to 130, & tangrowth lv. x to 170. i figure that shaymin with "celebration wind" would definitely be helpful in a tight spot. i also put manectric with "electric barrier" to protect the bench, obvi.

8 :grass:
2 :colorless::colorless:
2 rainbow energy
3 call energy

2 dawn stadium
1 broken time space

i think the energy is pretty straight-forward, as well as the stadium selection. healing whenever you attach. sweeeet.

3 life herb
2 level max
2 expert belt
2 pokemon communication
2 warp point
1 bench shield
1 super scoop up
1 luxury ball

4 bebe's search
1 buck's training
1 palmer's contribution
1 pokemon collector

i'm really bad at choosing the right trainers & supporters. i feel like that's where i need the most help, so if you have any ideas, let me know!

i personally like having two Tangrowth Lv.X in my deck so i can swap them out if one gets too much damage.

belted with shay on bench 190hp is noting to joke about swallow up for 140 and reaching vine for 80 plus 20 more to two bench poke.

i would take out the manectric line for a metapod 1-1 so you wont get burned in the new rotation by he looks of it lots of fire poke are going to put a hurting on any grass deck sadly, but with metapod you should stand a chance.

vespiqueen in the new Undaunted set has the same power as manectric and gets a boost from shay so thats another option if you still want to protect your bench plus you might be able to donk with combe, but honestly shay is all you have to protect because it would only have 100hp just throw in one more bench shield to slap on him if your that concerned about it.

for trainers your going to want

4 engineers adjustment ( synergizes really well with Tangrowth Lv.X big growth)
4 bebe's
4 poke communication
1-3 poke collectors
4 rainbow energies for triggering roserade's power
2 expert belt
2 bench shield
2 stadiums of your choice
2 premier balls ( i like them better than Level Max because its more consistent)
2-4 super scoop ups ( for uxie / shay or for picking up a almost dead tangrowth if you miss your healing growth flips)

if you find its to slow setting up add in a line of sunflora's so you can draw a green poke from your deck every turn (this is including Lv.X because they are green poke)

with engineers adjustment and uxie's you should have plenty of draw power but it can be tricky setting this deck up quickly with how much energy and bench support the deck needs to dominate.

UD releases Vespiqueen which is a grass form of Manetric.
x2 Interviewers Question for energy search because tangrowth take quit alot to do Swallow up.

Life herb is flippy, and there for not that great.
if your lucky keep them.
if not, tech in a 2-2 Cherrim UL.
heal 1 counter each turn, combined with Tangrowth X to heal 60 a turn.

Ah, Engineer's Adjustment! I forgot about that one, Andy.
And the new Vespiquen!

I can help you more at Dilong's if you bring your deck.

MATT! i have to dig through all my tins to find more of the supporters you suggested, they're somewhere in the lost zone. ugh. but yes! i will plan to bring all my stuff to dilong's, i'm very apprehensive when it comes to deck building & what to include because i never have anyone to play them against. :nonono:

you + tiffaloo = move closer.
